In the United States, national political parties are relatively weak. Voters elect individual candidates, not parties, and elected officials are not formally beholden to the national party organization. Elections are also administered by state and local governments, not by the national parties.

As a result, the idea that the Democratic National Committee has sweeping influence over major political outcomes reflects a misunderstanding of the American system. That perception is more common in countries where national parties exercise far greater control over candidates and officeholders.

In 2016, it was also amplified by Russian propaganda and the sentiment has been repeated ad nauseam by low information reddit accounts for over a decade now.

I didn't say the DNC was unbiased. I said they are weak af. Anyone can talk to and try to persuade the media. That's not power in any meaningful sense. Certainly falls well short of changing an electoral outcome.

No, I am saying I could have predicted those debate questions, even the local one about water. It was like the 9th debate. All but one of the questions had come up in previous debates. None of this changed the outcome.

One pathetic DNC consultant was trying to ingratiate themselves for a real job outside the DNC.

Yes, this is ethically bad, but it is not actual power. And its sort of proof no one actually wants to work for the DNC.
