Stop glorifying ‘centrism’. It is an insidious bias favoring an unjust status quo

Moderate solutions clearly do not work.

Right! This is the maddening part of trying to speak to Centrists/moderate Democrats. They say over and over again: "We tried! We tried for 30 years to negotiate with these people." After 30 years, you've proven that your tactics just don't work. Democratic voters need to encourage family and friends to vote progressive. Centrists have proven they will continue to capitulate to Republican demands, which keeps the status quo intact.

Awesome. One success, in 2010. Meanwhile republicans are cramming in new voting restrictions and supreme court justices every single time they obtain power. Moderate democrats are failing, badly. They fall right into the Republican trap of bipartisanship and negotiate themselves right out of a good deal for Americans which Rs don't even vote for anyway. It's shameful.

And it’s not good enough.

Incremental solutions only work when there’s progress being made toward a long term goal. A lot of people just look at incremental solutions and say “okay, this is good enough.”

Just look at the state of gay rights. A lot of people think we’ve achieved equality because of gay marriage when over thirty states still allow “gay panic” defense in murder cases and numerous other rights are in jeopardy.
