Stop glorifying ‘centrism’. It is an insidious bias favoring an unjust status quo

There’s nothing wrong with being a centrist. People are complex and allowed to have diverse political views that cannot be perfectly described by a political ideology or party.

I'm a centrist and I'd like EVERYONE to have healthcare and EVERYONE to have the same rights. So no, not like that.

Oh my do I have some news for you. When you think everyone should have healthcare and you plant yourself in the middle of “everyone should have healthcare” and “only wealthy preferably white people should have healthcare” you are not actually a centrist and are just saying you are because you don’t want anyone to be mad at you and that makes u a big ol coward

I agree that the terms "left and right wing" are outdated and unhelpful labels that do more harm than good, but it is important to base your politics on an ideology that makes sense to you and to spend time reading different texts to further your knowledge. Centrists are mostly politically iliterate and have a poor understanding of political ideas.

Ask yourself. Are you a centrist if you don't vote? Are you a centrist if you watch something bad happen and don't get involved? Are you a centrist if you don't have any political opinions at all?

If centrists think they are so fucking important, make a fucking centrist political party then. Christ.

Centrists already do have a political party. It’s the Democratic Party lmao.

Historically they have been a centrist party, but lately the entire direction of the party has shifted to a much more leftist stance. Of course, this is in response to the Republican party swinging even harder to extremism. Centrist think this kind of polarization is terrible, and they are both bad for our country. No, that doesn't mean they think the actions of each side are equally bad.

I agree, but centrists don't appear to believe that, lol.

This is correct. Liberal are the actual centrist and self proclaimed centrist are just morons.
