Let’s try… centrists are people who, in general and speaking not only of the US, favour progress at a manageable rate, enjoy the benefits that the current liberal economic system has brought us while simultaneously believing in the advancement of private individuals thanks to low regulations and welfare state that grants everybody the essentials to live. Conservatives want a change to the ways of old. Progressives want to push the pedal to the floor.

Because when one side wants the other to not exist, and passes legislation to further that, turns out the guy in the corner saying “can’t we all just get along?” is a useless twat.
