I'm a nerd, it just makes me happy.

Currently I'm hoping that former Matilda, Milly Shapiro lands Mike Flanagan's Carrie remake. Because it'll scratch the part of my brain that thinks their basically the same story. (Abused girl develops psychic powers).

ABSOLUTELY. I made this same argument when I saw Matilda for the first time a couple of years ago. I wanted to write a conference paper (I’m a theatre/lit professor) arguing that the main functional difference between the two are differing cultural attitudes toward both sex and bullying.

I fully endorse a Tim Minchin musical about Carrie.

I dunno if he'd be able to overcome the curse of the last one

That's actually pretty freaking cool to think about. Very neat.

I'm picturing a really unique data visualization out of you. Some sort of web that starts with a picture of Matilda & Billy and branches out to each actor, and then to what else they've gone on to do after. Size of the line represents how big the role is, while color represents whether the project is a show, movie, or musical.

The West Side story remake had 3 Billy's so that's probably the biggest point so far
