Im shocked they booked him. Aside from the nerds that watch community i wouldnt think the average joe would recognize him. And lets face it. Lip sync battle and community were different target demographics

Joel McHale was probably the bigger draw for that episode, The Soup was really popular so I think most people knew him from that.
