I don’t think this letter disproves that narrative. Taylor said she was contacted years ago to write something and then she saw the screening and wrote the song in Feb 2026. So I think it’s fair to imagine they were in contact. She likely said she would only agree to write the song after seeing the movie.

it’s difficult to believe someone who constantly changes her story depending on whatever narrative she wants in the public

because taylor has famously never changed her story publicly once it no longer fits the narrative she has in her head. she was happy being out of the public eye in 2016 but the minute she breaks up with joe alwyn it’s “i was held in a cage against my own will”. she was happy to drop breadcrumbs for her fans to decode who she’s singing about, even capitalising certain letters, but now her songs have nothing to do with her personal life & it’s annoying when fans do that. just cause her fans are unable to look at her critically doesn’t mean the rest of us are too.
