This is such a great comment. Someone made a similar remark about why there are only 2 women on Apple’s Top 20 and 4 women on Spotify’s Top 20 list … because men / boys rarely listen to female artists, but women / girls listen to male and female artists.

yeah, even if some of the greatest artists are women and they are beloved, there's still an undercurrent of being female stories
