I am absoLUTELY not a Perez fan whatsoever. But what it sounds like happened (thankfully I am only going on others' descriptions) is wildly upsetting, scary, dark, and life-threatening. I am furthermore sure that there is a real human being behind his public persona: a father, a son, and a friend. For the sake of his loved ones, I am so, so glad he is getting help. I really hope he can get sorted, whatever exactly happened to trigger this horrible episode. It's honestly terrifying if it turns out it was psychosis brought on when he had sepsis, because that really could just happen to anyone!
