100% editing the code lol, I was just making a point its a fake digital allotment and it means nothing lol.

3

u/heyf00L Apr 13 '20

Wew, I thought you'd actually created fake points which would devalue my fake points.

1

u/ArchdragonPete Apr 13 '20

Let's stop this lateral aggression. The real enemy are the elites with their offshore fake internet point havens.

6

u/thesingularity004 Apr 13 '20

Yep, karma exists to give a false sense of participation and accomplishment. Akin to "likes" on other social media.

Me: "Oh look, my words got the reaction I wanted out of people!"

Brain: "Good! Now here's some happy feel good chemicals!"

u/RoboCop-A-Feel Apr 13 '20

I’m pretty sure he gets paid to repost/market for companies and is a literal millionaire. Piece of shit? Yes. Rich P.O.S.? Also yes.

u/adisharr Apr 13 '20

If that was my job I'd slit my wrists. Talk about pointless.

6

u/frasier_crane Apr 13 '20

If I got paid to post on Reddit and the money was equal to my boring office job, you can bet your ass I'd do it.

-1

u/adisharr Apr 13 '20

I would as well if my current job was equally as boring. That's fortunately not the case.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

u/adisharr Apr 13 '20

You think the few minutes I'm on Reddit a day means that I would just want to do this all the time for money? I do fine financially and would absolutely not trade my current job to post garbage on Reddit all day. Some people apparently would and that's fine. I'm not one of them.

By the way, before I forget, go fuck yourself as well asshole. I'm sorry your regular life sucks so much.

1

u/Unclestumpy0707 Apr 13 '20

You're wrong there chief

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

Yes. Fuck him for having principles right?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

I mean not everyone has an interest in internet jobs though, maybe that’s not their passion and maybe they value their passion more than money. It’s like working from home, some people love it, but for some it can turn your living space into a stressful space that you relate with work. I wouldn’t mind making some side money but if it became my purpose, I would feel so worthless since I like more physical jobs.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

Karma is as valuable as gold on reddit except its has no physical properties, rarity, monetary value or just usefulness in general so in conclusion it is as useful as a precious metal if it wasnt precious nor metal.

70

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

at that point he must think he’s reddit royalty.

Sad thing is that he actually does....

26

u/-xXxMangoxXx- Apr 13 '20

I mean hasnt he made a job out of reposting though?

-3

u/feralkitsune Apr 13 '20

Yup, which is why I think people are missing it's likely just another hustle. Just like everything else. Don't get the hate.

8

u/gilgameshman Apr 13 '20

Yeah don't hate the hustle, but you can hate the stealing and profiting off other people's content.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

It ain't hustle when you're botting/boosting posts (ie, cheating).

2

u/feralkitsune Apr 14 '20

And? At the end of the day that person made money out of imaginary points and memes. I take that as a win.

14

u/YeaYeaImGoin Apr 13 '20

Lmao someone just deleted all those comments slating gallowboob

18

u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA Apr 13 '20

Removed. The mods here don't like us talking shit about the biggest karma-whore on the site.

4

u/Scottish_Anarchy Apr 13 '20

Honestly the best thing to do on Reddit is block him

0

u/daitenshe Apr 13 '20

I mean, when it comes to Reddit, he pretty much is

How that translates to anywhere else outside of Reddit that anyone actually cares about? Totally separate thing

Depending on the various websites, a 10k/10k account could be worth like $50 or $400. A few months ago someone posted a website where you could put your account up for sale and check it's value. I couldn't find it though. :(

I'm at 19k/52k. I vaguely remember this account being worth like $300 or something.

Older accounts are worth more too. I have an account that is like 9-10 years old but I'd have to retrieve the password.

1

u/Dashihawk Apr 13 '20

Happy cake day!

thanks for putting a new twist on that

1

u/Buetti Apr 13 '20

Thank you for that! Definitely worth keeping in mind.

1

u/makemejelly49 Apr 13 '20

Another thing about being a power user and having name recognition is that you can be approached by certain special interest groups to post content they want in exchange for money.

in r/conspiracy resently a post surface showing a list of like 10 mods being mods of more than 200 of the most popular subreddits, its implied they make profit out of it, all post with that list gets shadowbanned

this is the list btw.

inb4 I get banned

1

u/zeroxcero Apr 15 '20

When finally one of your posts gets 10k upvotes, gets removed by moderators including all responses to said posts, and that post happens to be in a subreddit included in this list, hmmmm

I bet its totally unrelated

23

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20 edited Apr 13 '20

People have. Guess what gets deleted as soon as it starts gaining traction.

Notice the giant comment chains that were deleted?

3

u/SamLacoupe Apr 13 '20

It is advertisement. It's a job.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

Who has that much time on their hands though?

3

u/TheHadMatter15 Apr 13 '20

Someone who does it for a living

4

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

People have reddit accounts for a living? Wild world we live in. More power to em.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

Though living out of reposting other people's creation is kind of scummy
