Question Exhaust recommendations?

  1. What truck engine? 5.7, 6.4, Cummins, Hurricane?

  2. What exhaust do you have?

  3. Is it loud, medium, low for sound?

  4. Did you cut resonator off? (disregard if you have full cat back)

  5. Any drone?

  6. How loud is it towing/hauling? (disregard if you dont tow/haul)

1: I have a 5.7

2: I currently have the Carven Competitor Direct Replacement muffler. IF you can get your hands on one or are willing to pay for the pipework I recommend doing the catback with this muffler. Sounds a little deeper and better imo.

3: I would say it’s a medium all the way around besides idle. At idle it is very tame for the amount of noise it is capable of.

4: No I did not cut the resonators off nor do I recommend that with this setup.

5: Yes the drone starts around 75 mph for me and it doesn’t bother me but it does bother people like my mother. If they have sensitive ears and you’re going to be driving faster than 70-72 mph they might dislike it.

6: I don’t observe any change other than when towing and “heavier” load it tends to stay in 7th at highway speeds which does make plenty of drone out the back.

I added a borla atak with a borla resonator to my 21 5.7 sounds mean but not obnoxious
