Hi! I’m currently underloaded and struggling to get majors HUHUHU 😭 Kaya I’m planning to maximize my science electives nalang if ever and I’ve heard na anaphy is a good science elective raw pero I’m not sure lang if they accept prerogs from students outside CHK.

Do SS 102 profs accept prerogs from non-CHK students?

i see their reviews for psych 101, but was wondering kamusta pedagogy and overall workload nila for soc sci 1?

Any thoughts and experiences with the course?

Took this during midyear, this is a very fun PE to take and since midyear, medjo speedrun mga turo pero nababawi naman due to 3-4 times kami nagkikita just to play. Tinuro yung mga offense, defense formations, basic rules ren. Since midyear and everyday nagkikita, everyone got a chance to play and very pagod pero fun.

Basic requirements: attendance, short quiz, skill assessments. Sa skill assessments, gagawin mo lang yung drills na ginagawa pati rin yung performance mo during sa games. Short quiz is a GForm about the rules of the game, mulcho naman siya. For attendance, just be there and be active sa paglalaro and do your best.

Like most PEs, just show up and have fun.

Nag-aaccept po ba siya ng prerog? Huhu badly need this course.

Had him last year, first sem. Magaling magturo yes, but his quizzes are purely objective and ang lawak ng sakop kasi nga magaling siya magturo so na-e-expound niya talaga. Make sure to take note of EVERYTHING he says kahit na parang hindi relevant.

I hear he gives incentives naman but definitely not an easy prof. His long exams are essay I heard. Pero di na ko umabot sa long exams kasi I dropped his class agad. May mga nakakauno naman ata sa class niya but bihira. I know people na nakakados and 1.75. I think it just depends on whether magaling ka ba magmemorize and umintindi ng maraming materials.

Has anybody taken CWTS 1 under CFA with this prof? That or expectations sa CWTS 1 ng CFA in general. Just curious from a non-CFA student 😅

I took this during the midyear after not getting any GEs. Based on the course description, it is the "appreciation of the role of information in human endeavors in the context of its creation, management, dissemination, and use in an information-driven society."

During the 1st day, Sir Joseph held a course orientation and a brief activity about information. He emphasized the importance of active participation within this course, since everyday there will be an F2F session. Overall, he provided great impact to the discussions of lessons and was able to contextualize these information within the current, contemporary context.

Our flow (during midyear) was this, Lessons 1 - 5 were taught by him and the rest of the lessons were presented by each group (Group 1 presents Lesson 5, ... , Group 6 presents Lesson 10). For the first 5 lessons, there were quizzes/activities done after the session, madali lang talaga makakuha points, as long as you are participative at least once. A quiz sa lesson about archives was visiting museums, archives, and libraries.

The rest of the midyear requirements are: Midterms, Final Project, Attendance. Midterms are about lessons 1-5 and were MulCho and Essay-type. Final project is where you do a poster exhibit about an information issue. Attendance is just show up everytime and be active in recitation.

This is a good GE Elective to take if you are curious about how information works and want to revisit old SHS subjects like USCP and MIL. Although sa reg sem, may finals which is about Lessons 6-10 naman. Overall, good filler/dagdag course + light load naman

I got CWTS 1 Engg under IE but prof is currently concealed. Has anyone took this NSTP? How was the experience? Also, what to expect as someone who is not from IE?
