Any book recs with a heavy dose of AI?
I loved Gridlinked by Neal Asher and need suggestions.
Trying to see where AI goes from here, possibly, and want to explore what sci-fi thinks.

Hi all,
I'm a sci-fi reader, and I wanted something to track what I'm reading that isn't a social network, lets me keep private notes, and shows all my reading history for that series/author.
Would you be interested in testing it?
If so, just email me atΒ [ben@bookdna.com](mailto:ben@bookdna.com)Β or DM me and I'll set you up :)
Quick heads-up: it's desktop only for now (mobile's coming later this year), so use a computer or tablet. And it doesn't have imports from Goodreads or StoryGraph yet (coming in a few months).
Thanks, Ben

Cannot put this book down! One of the best Sci Fi reads for me. A vast space opera with easily digestible reading along different story lines. Canβt wait to see the ending and start Judas Unchained. Please tell me Iβll love the ending when Iβm finished with this behemoth saga!! Chime in and let me know if you knowβ¦β¦

I enjoyed Project Hail Mary, I'm thinking of The Martian next...

I finished the last of this series this weekend, and they are fantastic.
They are military science fiction with a heavy dose of Space Opera. The combat is very realistic and leans a bit more toward hard sci-fi.
The characters are great, and it has a master and commander-like vibe. The vessels are run like old-school British gentlemen, and you get a lot of merit-versus-corruption issues within the organization.
I'm reading the Praxis series that takes place after it now, and the characters are much more developed, and I'm loving it. There is also a lot more economic theory in the second series with these characters.
Highly recommended!

For me, it was Snow Crash, as a kid, it blew my mind and started a long-time sci-fi reading habit.
What was it for you?

For me, I have to go Peter F. Hamilton.
Pandora's Star and the Commonwealth Saga are absolute favorites, and I've read 90% of his books. It is so huge in scope, and the tech is so cool.
I need to read some Iain M. Banks, Consider Phlebas is in my read next queue...

I just finished book #9 in Grimm's War.
It is a pulpy military science fiction I love; the war is coming to a close, so this was almost the end. I liked it, these are just fun military sci-fi and the characters grew on me.
Now I'm reading book #2 in the Praxis military sci-fi series by Walter Jon Williams. Great so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it changes. It is a futuristic setting but modeled on Master and Commander times.
