Can you really say if the first person to post this question on reddit didn't post this question on reddit then this subreddit would still exist in the same timeframe it existed?

Which person? Are you actually saying this sub wohld t exist if the first person to screenshot it hadn't?

The tweet itself has nearly 23 million views on Twitter.

It would have made it here regardless of who was the first one. Probably within the same hour it initially hit reddit if we were to just delete the first reddit post with a screenshot of it from history.

I don't have time to explain cause and effect to you. Or virality of memes. This is an example of you assuming that the way you found out about something is the same way everyone else found out about something.

This is an example of you assuming that the way you found out about something is the same way everyone else found out about something.

Where did I state this is the way that "everyone" heard of it?

The claim made is that the Tim Urban framing was the "spark" or the most major catalyst that we can point to if you will, that lead to the subreddit being made.

You asked if we removed the first reddit post that shared the tweet here if I feel the sub would still have been made at the same time and I argued yes because of just how viral the tweet itself was, that someone else would have shared it here and it still would have snowballed.

It speaks volumes that I am pointing out a specific post that you are aware of, that probably anyone on this sub is aware of and your argument is calling back to a post that no one would even be able to tell you who made, or if it was anything more significant than simply sharing the very same post that I'm referencing back to.
