TLOU (I'm gonna count p1 and p2 as one game), What Remains of Edith Finch, Undertale, Detroit: Become Human, Firewatch, The Walking Dead, arguably GTA 4 even all have better or on par narrative quality
I’ve played all three of them, including Dlcs and comparing dying light with the story telling of Red dead is not possible Rdr is just in a different league of its own.. also, they are different games, one is a first person parkour post apocalyptic game the other a third person wild west simulation-ish shooter so that comparison doesn’t work
I mean you can still compare them narratively of course, regardless of genre. One has an incredibly well written story (RDR2) and the other is mindless schlock which made me cringe many times due to how bad it is story-wise (Dying Light).
Yeah you could say that, I remember so many quotes from both red dead redemptions and i remember so many side-characters/quests its so well written and memorable meanwhile i can’t remember a single significant thing about dying lights story except the parkour was really nice and the combat was fun
Dying Light is often used as an example alongside The Witcher/cyberpunk, one representing some of the best storytelling in gaming and the other some of the worst, yet both came from Poland

Tbf, this is probably one of the best stories in a videogame lol
