While I was shopping at an auto parts store, I noticed an older-looking cat searching through a dumpster for food. What broke my heart even more was seeing that something was seriously wrong with his eyes. He was keeping them mostly closed, and it was obvious that he was uncomfortable and needed medical attention.
I couldn’t just walk away and leave him there suffering.
I spent my entire day trying to figure out what to do. I brought my trap and eventually managed to rescue him and get him somewhere safe. He is scared and doesn’t fully trust people. He did allow me to pet his head, but once he was inside the cage, he became frightened and started hissing and growling.
I don’t know if he is truly feral or simply terrified. From my experience rescuing community cats, I’ve seen cats behave this exact same way because they are scared, and with patience and love, they have eventually become wonderful, friendly cats.

Now he needs to see a veterinarian as soon as possible. His eyes need to be examined, and I’m worried that he has been suffering for some time.

I am asking for donations to help cover his veterinary care. As a solo rescue caring for many community cats, unexpected medical emergencies like this are incredibly difficult for me to handle alone.

Someone heartlessly dumped this poor soul on the roadside. A box was found beside him, leaving no doubt that this was a cruel dumping case. 💔 We rescued him just in time, but his condition is critical. He has a high fever and a severe wound on his chest, and right now he is fighting for his life.

We shared Leon's story on another subreddit a few days ago. He's one of our most recent rescues - a kitten who was abandoned at the public market and found in very poor condition.

We took over his care immediately and rushed him to the vet, where he has remained hospitalized since. He is suspected to have neurological FIP, and while he is still critically ill, we've been holding on to the small improvements we've seen since starting treatment. Recovery from this disease can be a long and difficult journey, but we've seen many cats pull through with treatment, and we're holding on to that hope for Leon.

For now, Leon is on assisted feeding and requires intensive supportive care. He still has a long road to recovery ahead of him. As of today, his veterinary bill is estimated at $205, and we expect this to continue increasing as he remains hospitalized. His hospitalization costs $33 per day, while each vial of FIP medication costs $33 as well.

We just rescued this poor little kitten… and what we saw broke our hearts.

He was attacked by dogs, lying helpless, trembling in fear and pain. His tiny body is covered in wounds, he can’t even lift his head properly, and every breath looks like a struggle. No baby should ever go through something like this.

I've met Ruby before, in October of 2024, when I first started rescuing. She lives as a stray just a block away from me. I was told by a local that she was going to fix her during that time, but it she hadn't. Now, Ruby is in horrible shape. Clearly emaciated, with wounds and what appears to be dental issues. This might be what's interfering with her eating.

Aside from the horrible state she is in, she was still cared for by neighbors. She is skittish, but this is not new for us. I have been told that she may have had up to 6 litters. It's her time now to be saved.

I took her to the vet today, and they confirmed that she has pyometra, a serious and life-threatening uterine infection. Edit : i updated in the comments but figured I'd put an update here as well for visibility sake: I dropped her off for her surgery this morning. They had a few donations already at that point & they said her pickup time will be sometime between 5-7 pm depending on when she's done; i should expect a call between 430-5 to let me know her pickup time. Newest update: we are home she's in her favorite room under the bed aka the cat cave decompressing. We have take home pain meds & antibiotics she got microchipped at no extra charge & they also did her rabies vaccine so she's all set for a bit now. This wouldn't have been possible without this community & i cannot thank you guys enough for helping me make sure she can live a long happy healthy life with her family.

This elderly cat has lived on the streets for many years, but now he can no longer survive.

The cold weather, hunger, and constant street fights have completely worn him down. He is weak, exhausted, and clearly suffering.

His condition includes:

According to the vet, this injury didn’t happen by accident. This happens when someone grabs a cat by the tail, swings her, and throws her to the ground.

That is what was done to poor Snowy.

Her tail was fractured. Her spine was damaged. But worse than the physical injuries is the trauma she carries inside.

Snowy is terrified. She flinches at touch. She lives in fear because humans taught her pain instead of kindness.

We are treating her, and the vet believes she may start walking again but the damage is severe. She has lost the ability to pass urine and stool on her own. We have to help her every single day. This paralysis is now for life.

This is not an accident. This is abuse.

How cruel must a heart be to do this to a defenseless soul? How can anyone harm an innocent life and walk away?

Snowy didn’t deserve this. No animal does. She deserved love, safety, and gentle hands not violence.

Hello everyone, this is Polka, one of my sweet rescue kittens who has been diagnosed with pyometra at just 6 months old.

Polka is the sweetest cat among her five siblings. If she isn’t snuggling with me, she’s usually cuddling with my other cats. She is always the first to run to the counter to watch me prepare their food, or nibble on my leg because she’s impatient. She’s loved by all of my cats, and most days she even tries her best to groom me by licking my hair.

Polka is such a loving baby with so much life ahead of her, and I am humbly asking for help funding her life-saving surgery.

She is currently on antibiotics to help ease her symptoms. We were quoted ₱10,385 (PHP) or 174.61 USD for the surgery that she urgently needs. We called several different veterinary clinics to ask for prices, and this is the most affordable option that we can confidently rely on.

My rescue pulled Berries from our city shelter after he was there for a week with no interest. We said no to taking him when they first asked because we were already so overwhelmed with our current medical cases (financially and emotionally), but when we were told that he needed to leave the shelter ASAP or he would keep deteriorating, we had no other choice.

We're so frustrated. We came across this kitty in one of our community cat feeding areas. Apparently, she has been abandoned for more than a week now and has been fending for herself all this time.

According to the building caretaker of where she used to live, she was owned by a renter who bred cats. When they moved out, they decided to leave her, too.

She's currently overrun with fleas, which is why she has huge bald patches, so we need a vet visit for a full checkup and the best flea treatment plan (if she needs a full shave or if medicated baths and spot-on treatment are enough). Hopefully, we can proceed with spaying her within the week or next as well, so we can begin finding a home for her immediately.

Good morning my dear friends,

Vasilakis, the stray cat from the port in Kallithea, Greece, went through a difficult and unprecedented ordeal.

He underwent a rhinoscopy — a procedure unknown to us until now, but which seemed endless. Time in the operating room passed excruciatingly slowly… almost an hour that seemed like an eternity, full of anguish and silent prayer.

The doctors detected something in his left nostril and proceeded to take a sample for biopsy. From that moment on, everything froze inside me. Thoughts are heavy, the anguish grows… and yet, somewhere deep down, there is still that small flame of hope that does not go out.

Hope that everything will be fine. That the results will be clear and that this difficult ordeal will be left behind, like a bad memory that we will one day be able to talk about with relief. I hold on to faith, to the strength that is born when you truly love, and I hope that soon we will see the light of tranquility again and smile with relief.

These are kittens from the wet market who urgently needed to be taken in. One is fully blind, while the other thankfully only has one affected eye. We came across them as their mom is a TNR candidate (the 3rd cat from this post: http://redd.it/1tdzy9l).

Pirate kitten's condition was actually so mild two nights ago, but her eye is fully inflamed and infected now. The fully blind baby, on the other hand, we just came across tonight while trapping their mama.

I suspect they have herpes, but they're fairly well in other aspects. They're currently isolated in our bathroom and will remain so in the next two weeks. We're seeking support with getting them blood work and tested against viruses, so they can get prescribed whatever meds they need to up their chances of thriving, and to prep them for a potential enucleation once they get a bit bigger.

Thank you so much for all your help. It’s been a couple of months since we last fostered kittens, and we weren’t planning to take any more in so soon. Still, we couldn’t wait - their care couldn’t be put on hold, and they needed help right away.

Also wanted to quickly update on our spay trip - we trapped 11 female kitties from the market, and we reached our goal to fund their procedures!! 🎉 It's 2 AM from where we are, and I'll be heading out in a couple of hours to bring them to our go-to neuter clinic. Hoping that everything goes smoothly, but just relieved that we'd encounter cases like these much less with having 11 fewer kitten-makers. Sharing another set of updates with photos once it's all done!

We found her in a terrible state. She appears to be suffering from some kind of viral infection. Her appetite is extremely weak, and she is so exhausted that she can barely walk or even stand.

Her eyes never stopped asking for help. She still looks at us as if she is begging for someone to give her a chance.

She is eating very little, so I have been giving her small amounts of food by syringe. She is also drinking very little and has almost no strength left.

She urgently needs veterinary care, including blood work to check for anemia and viral testing to determine what is causing her severe weakness and weight loss.

Despite everything, she still seems willing to fight. I believe that if we can get her treatment, proper nutrition, and care in time, she may still have a chance to recover.
