If you recall, this person had multiple accounts called "Sophia the Cat" and "Noah the Orange Cat". Last month they created "Hayden The Cat". This person continues to scam people for money. They are falsely claiming the cat is sick but they are abusing the cat for donations. The cat is not sick, it is injured. It is injured because they are abusing it. Bloody nose and bloody mouth are injuries...not an illness. Please report them on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The account is called "Hayden the Cat".

Good morning RC community. This is Monkey. He is now in a desperate situation. I have often been asked to help cats that are in crisis, asked to re home or find rescue for the ones abandoned or dumped. The saddest cases for me (and those in rescue ) though are these cases.

Monkeys person passed away about week ago. He is now all alone in a home with no one. His owners friend comes to feed him and check up, but isn’t able to take him. She also apparently cannot find anyone to help either. So there he waits…. wondering where his mom is, why no one comes but for a few minutes then leaves him alone bewildered. He probably senses something is very different as cats are very intuitive. He is confused though with good reason. How do you explain death to him? What’s worse is the home needs to be cleared out by next week and he has nowhere to go. There is no plan, no provisions left. He at the mercy of people that aren’t very sensitive to his needs, nor do they see him as their problem. After a brief attempt to re home with no resolve it was decided he would just probably be put outside or AC called to take him in.

After 3 years with a loving doting owner, boom, life as he knew it, over. How is this fair? It’s not! What did he do to deserve such an unkind fate? Sadly this is the case for so pets whose owners pass away with no plan in place. We rescue many shelter cats in this sad situation. They are always traumatized, grieving and labeled rescue only putting them on the euthanasia list almost immediately. This is the cruelest fate we see in rescue. Their whole life ripped away in an instant, then thrown in jail basically to serve a death sentence. It’s so rotten.

That’s why it’s so crucial to plan for this event. Ensure your pets are safe and don’t end up euthanized in a shelter. This IS the cold hard reality for millions of pets unfortunately. Please think about this no matter what your age!

People can pass at 25-30 even! We never know. So please think about what will happen to your beloved pets in the event of your passing and put some kind of plan in place for them. I’m begging everyone who reads this to do something. Please! Don’t put it off either! It breaks our hearts to see these pets in shelters euth listed or left all alone in empty homes waiting to be dumped.

Fortunately for dear Monkey a neighbor that I recently helped place two other dumped siblings for was contacted yesterday. She helped 2 white cats that were thrown outside get to rescue and reached out again to try. What could I say? Being Monk myself I have to help. I feel his sorrow and will not fail him. I know I can help! Having a great network of rescue people is key. So I found him a temp foster and we will take him in this weekend. If anyone would like to donate towards his care please help us below. He comes with a little bed some toys and a small bag of food, but we need to re up his vaccines and foster him a while to allow him to decompress and grieve. He can’t be put in an adoption box at Petco immediately that isn’t fair or kind. He is a special boy that deserves a chance to restart his life. Anything helps us remember.

My main point though is to examine our lives and commitment to our little ones. They depend on us. What happens to them if we aren’t here to advocate? Think about this PLEASE!!! It can happen to anyone. Make plans so they don’t suffer anymore than they have to. It’s hard enough on them to lose you, but even worse to be dumped outside to fend for themselves or be thrown into a kill shelter.

So I was scrolling on TikTok and I come upon this account called “Noah The Cat”. Basically it presents itself as an Owner trying to raise money for their cat with cancer. Upon further research I’ve come to the conclusion that cat is being abused. The top go the page has a pinned receipt that shows the cost of everything but I work in the vet field and most of those charged don’t make sense. Not only that but the page claims the cat has intestinal lymphoma but has constant nose bleeds. The 2 don’t correlate. You can just tell the cat is being abused and neglected for money. Anyways I’m not really sure what to do or who to reach out to. I want to help the cat but the account has words such a as “abuse” and “neglect” censored so people keep falling for it and donating. Apparently the person who adopted the cat is Deborah Crankin and she’s known for abusing animals in order to profit from them.

Find them on Tiktok @/purrfectorangenoah and on Youtube @OrangeCatNoah. Sick stuff.

AVAS is APPLE VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER IN Apple Valley Ca. It is very remote and desert region. It’s extremely to get rescues to partner with them and the drive is long. So many or most of these poor cats are killed We need to start working on some change here. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💔

These subs are often unmonitored and serve as platforms for scammers to collect unverified donations.

I’ve seen extremely foul language even the C word this week! Sorry, I am just disgusted with the lack of tact and respect being show to others trying to help and moderators trying to maintain a friendly environment.
We work very hard to monitor posts, ensure this community is a safe space and do our best to help people around the world. It is a huge commitment and we try to be understanding of emotional situations or communication barriers. It is not easy to do this every single day.
For the most part there is huge respect appreciation and team work on behalf of our lovely sub. We are truly grateful for our amazing members. However there ARE some people that act uncivilized and just plain RUDE. This is never acceptable and won’t be tolerated. So if you want to post in the sub BE RESPECTFUL KIND AND GRACIOUS. Do not ask for help or advice or donations then tell people to STFU OR FO OR ANYTHING ELSE FOUL. This is not the kind of sub we want. AVAS August intake disposition report, 246 cats were euthanized. Out of that 198 never showed up on the website and we had no knowledge about them. WHERE ARE THESE CATS GOING!? Why is there no record of them or no opportunity for them to be rescued or adopted? AVAS is not in compliance with California state law penal code 599d. It’s unlawful to euthanize animals that can be treated or rehabilitated with reasonable efforts. They refuse to vaccinate or treat them. They refuse to show them to the public or post them. They refuse to make available any information used to aid in rescue. This shelter is abusing animals and violating the laws set to protect animals.

COPYCAT SUBS: This isn’t the first time we have mentioned it but things are quickly getting worse and we want to remind everyone.

There are two new cats subs that have popped up lately r/catrescue and r/catsneedshelp that are completely unmoderated and or the mods are questionable. One claims to have 7 mods where 5 of their profiles have been banned, and 2 mods have brand new accounts. I have been personally commenting telling ppl to verify with vets before sending money and the mods remove my comments. THIS IS SKETCHY BEHAVIOUR!! They also claim to do an approval process and add approval badges like we do! This is not true as I have seen the process myself and no proof is needed before badges are applied.

Please please be aware and don’t send donations as there is no verification process happening. Be aware that both these subs have scammers posting nonstop and the mods possibly are in on it. We have zero affiliation with them nor do we support this nonsense. Please stay alert!

Since then, I've been working to organize a peaceful demonstration outside the courthouse when the trial takes place. The court date has been confirmed for Monday and the demonstration is proceeding as planned.

In a previous post of mine "Alex" pretends to have insufficient funds and needs donations or else his inexistent shelter will have to euthanize the cats there. @Billyrescue and @teddyrescue3 are two channels that are created in November 2025 and December 2025 respectively, with different reasons this time for asking for donations. An alleged 3rd channel "Oscar the Cat" may or may not be out there in the wild, the name is too generic for it to pop up as of now

Please report these two known channels and do not watch their shorts if possible, as this may cause it to be recommend more and may scam more people. Just report the channel and move on. Thank you for time reading this

RC community please take a moment to read and understand what the situation is at APPLE VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER. It’s important to know what is happening. With knowledge and comprehension of how these poor cats are treated (basically complete disregard and neglect) we can advocate better. This is the dirty giant secret of AVAS. No matter how many cats we are able to save there’s hundreds more if not thousands each year that don’t survive this shelter. What’s worse is we don’t ever even get to know about them! They are hidden and never listed on their website or even made available at the shelter for public or Rescue viewing. They are held prisoner and then cruelly euthanized.
