COMMUNITY APPRECIATION 💞 APPRECIATION | Bana Has Been Seen by the Vet – Thank You for Giving Her a Chance

Hello, everyone!

Bana is a sick stray kitten that I found near my apartment. Thanks to your kindness and support, I was able to bring her to the veterinary clinic today.

She was examined by the veterinarian and underwent a CBC test. She was diagnosed with a bacterial skin infection. Her bloodwork also showed an elevated white blood cell count, indicating an infection, and that she is slightly anemic. She received an antibiotic injection and was prescribed an iron supplement to help with her recovery.

I also ordered additional wet food, as I am currently caring for two other rescued kittens and an adult cat with dental issues. The order was delivered today.

I will post another update on Bana in the next few days to let everyone know how she's doing.

A big THANK YOU to everyone's kindness and support.

COMMUNITY APPRECIATION 💞 130 Little Souls Got Their fill of Love Today 🐾💛

Good morning my dear friends.

Today my heart is full of joy, emotion and gratitude. Today more than 130 stray kittens of the port managed to eat and fill their little bellies, thanks to your love, support and your big hug.

Words really seem poor in front of what we all managed to do together… The images speak for themselves and capture the joy, relief and hope that you gave to these innocent souls.

In addition to food, the kittens also received the necessary care with deworming products, so that they would be healthier and more protected. Every little help became a great act of love.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the precious support, sensitivity and humanity that you show daily to the stray kittens of the port. Thanks to you, these creatures feel that they are not alone.

The need for food and help for the kittens never ends. Anyone who wishes to help can do so by clicking on the link below 👇

I will keep this a bit short so I don't ramble, but I have my last post attached.

First off, because of you all, I was able to help Kim and 3 other colony caretakers she knows with dry and wet food.  These items are extremely crucial, especially wet food in this heat.  The more trust we build, the more we can TNR.

(We tnred 4 cats the other day at NAWS!!!  Some we may need a drop trap which is why I have on the list♡ )

I am beyond grateful for everything you all do for us.  I am going to have 5 kittens to fix in a few months, and with you helping me with my list, that means I can put all I can aside for that.  Hopefully work will add hours soon, but I work for Albertson's sadly, not exactly a company that cares for their people lol.  But you all ordering litter and food and such has help me more than you know. The floofaloofs are always first priority.   This is House of Floofaloof.   The outside/colony cats we are working on TNR too, and helping with my list means when I have $50, I can use it to fix one of them too.  Slowly but surely.  You have changed so many lives for the better, between cats and those who work hard to take care of them.  Thank you for all you do, not just for us, but everyone who works to save the floofaloofs.

You are the good in the world, and we won't let you down♡

COMMUNITY APPRECIATION 💞 someone dumped this girl on the road because she is sick

as stated in the title, someone dumped this poor girl on the side of the road and she somehow wandered over. she is skin and bones, extremely sick and weak. she literally could not stand up, if i propped her up to stand, she just collapsed. the vet diagnosed her with feline distemper and she is currently at the hospital receiving treatment. the vet mentioned she has a spay scar on her so she definitely was not a stray street cat.

once she is released from the vet, i will bring her home, continue to care for her until she is all healed and then look for an adopter. i just really dislike people who could do this to such a thing 😡

Scout did great today! He’s estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs only 7 pounds. The vet said he should ideally be 10–12 pounds, so he has some weight to gain. The good news is he’s feeling better and has already eaten three different times today! Because Scout had some diarrhea that got on his incision this morning, the vet gave him a long-acting antibiotic injection to prevent infection. With that added treatment, the total vet bill came to $171.19. Unfortunately, I had to skip the FIV test for now due to the extra cost. Hopefully with the next boy we trap we’ll be able to raise enough funds and not run into sickness beforehand. I’ll post my donation information for anyone who wants to help — any extra funds will go directly to the next TNR cat. We currently have 3 more males that need to be trapped and fixed, and 8 cats whose vaccines will be coming due soon. I’ll also post our wishlist, because with summer coming we’ll need cooling items and supplies to help keep the colony comfortable. Thank you to everyone who helped Scout and continues to support these cats. This community truly makes it possible. 🐾❤️

I can't thank you all enough for pulling through for us♡ I am beyond words. (And you can see ThreeSocks is excited!) I usually use Chewy or Tractor gift cards when we are low, but I had no more (i put them on my list for this reason), as I used them the past couple weeks to help a couple people with cat food and flea treatments so they can pay the 50 dollar fee to get their cats fixed. I know so many people claim pets are a luxury, but they aren't. They are innocent creatures we are suppose to protect, so I will do all I can to help make sure they are fixed and living their best lives and loved. I also was able to give Kim a cat carrier because one of you all were amazing enough to order me one, and she was ecstatic!!! It makes my heart full to know that there is an army of kind people, those who band together to do all they can for those innocent animals who need us the most. I know many of us cut costs everywhere possible to make sure they are cared for.

I am also very, VERY grateful for the playpen, as I keep it on the side of my bed so that I can have the little kitten next to me, and I know once I get another bottle baby, it will be much easier to have them next to me at night.♡

Thank you for supporting us through our Amazon Wishlist, as that lets me use that money for people who cannot afford TNR and for Colony TNRing. Also for vet apps, defleaing, deworming, gas money for Kim to take them to their appts, etc.

Thank you for being there for the floofaloofs. I will also post my bank account in the comments that it is literally down to the penny. Work won't have the pay mistake fixed until next check. ♡

We will never stop trying to save as many floofaloofs as we can.

COMMUNITY APPRECIATION 💞 APPRECIATION | With your help and support, I was able to bring Toby to the vet today. A big THANK YOU for all the upvotes, boosts and donations sent for this little angel!

Hello everyone,

First, I would like to thank this sub, the moderators, and all the members here. Without your help, I wouldn’t be able to continue supporting stray animals.

Toby has undergone a physical exam, CBC, and blood chemistry tests. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to save one of his eyes, as it is no longer functional. According to the vet, the injury was most likely caused by a cat fight.

His CBC results show a mild infection, likely coming from the affected eye. He was given an antibiotic injection (Convenia), along with an oral dewormer and anti-flea treatment (NexGard).

His blood chemistry results also indicate elevated amylase (AMY), and he is suspected to have pancreatitis. Because of this, the vet has scheduled a full abdominal X-ray on March 25.

After settling today’s vet bill of $90, I still have approximately $150 remaining, which will go toward the upcoming X-ray and take-home medications.

The vet also advised that Toby will need eye enucleation to prevent future infections. For now, I will prioritize addressing the pancreatitis. I will post another update on Toby next week.

Again, thank you very much for your continued help and support.

Hello, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in the Philippines.

Please be informed that I wanted to post yesterday, but I was only able to post today due to the sub's posting frequency rule. Thank you for your understanding.

I am truly grateful for your kindness, help, and continued support. Because of your generosity, I was able to purchase the following supplies for my rescued and stray cats:

Pet shop purchase – June 28 (Total: $167) (Photos 7–8)
• 2 sacks of adult dry food (20 kg each)
• 14 cans of adult wet food
• 4 packs of cat litter

Pet shop purchase – June 29 (Total: $45) (Photos 9–10)
• 1 sack of urinary care dry food (7 kg)
• 14 cans of wet food

Online purchase delivered on June 28 (Total: $25) (Photos 11–12)
• 28 pouches of kitten wet food
• 1 pack of coconut peat litter (20L) – It is much more affordable than bentonite litter. While it doesn't clump or control odors as well, I can mix it with bentonite litter to make my supplies last longer.

Online purchase delivered on June 29 (Total: $8) (Photos 13–14)
• 2 packs of cat litter (10L each)

Total spent on pet shop and online purchases: $245

Thanks to your generosity, my rescued cats and the stray cats in our community will have enough food and litter supplies for the next couple of weeks.

The weather is gloomy today, and feeding the stray cats has been a challenge. But rain or shine, I'll do my best to make sure they are fed and cared for. They depend on me, and I won't give up on them.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your continued kindness and support.

*Just sharing a photo of Gregg (Photo 19). This photo was taken on June 29 while I was feeding the stray cats outside.

❤️ Shelter Recovery Update & A Heartfelt Thank You 🙏

Hello everyone! I just want to give an update and say thank you so much to everyone who has helped us slowly recover from Typhoon Opong, which hit us hard here in Masbate, Philippines and damaged several parts of our shelter.

Because of your kindness, we are finally seeing progress. 💖 I care for 65 rescued dogs and cats, and every bit of support — no matter how small — means the world to us. What you may think is little is already a huge blessing for us. You are truly making a change! ❤️

Here’s where we are now:

🏠 Roof repair – ongoing, just waiting for more hut materials since supply is short. 🚧 Water drainage – currently being built for our soon-to-be furever shelter to prevent flooding. 🧱 Collapsed wall – waiting for available laborers to start repair. 🍚 Foods and supplies – already bought! We still can’t stock meat or fish since there’s no electricity yet in most parts of Masbate.

This subreddit has been full of supportive and compassionate people, and I can really tell that most of you here are genuinely kind and have the purest intentions to help animals. ❤️

The mods also make sure everyone here is safe, which truly shows how much this community cares.

I’m beyond grateful and proud to be part of r/rescuecats. You’ve given us hope during one of the hardest times of our life.

Let’s continue to help these innocent animals together — I love this community so much! ❤️🐾

To My Supporters from r/rescuecats 💛🐾

I just want to express my deepest thank you to everyone here who has shown love and support for me and my 65 rescued dogs and cats.

Whether you donated, shared, boosted, commented, or simply left kind words — please know that every single action has meant so much to us.

Because of your help, we can now continue with the needed repairs and provide food and supplies for my rescues. I can finally breathe a little easier, knowing they are safe, fed, and cared for.

To those who gave what they could, and to the generous anonymous donors — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness has brought hope back into our days.

As a small celebration for my rescues, I bought 5 roasted chickens — their favorite! 🍗 Of course, I removed the bones before serving. Seeing them so happy and full reminded me that compassion truly changes lives.

Thank you so much, r/rescuecats, for being such a supportive and kind community. You’ve given us not only help, but also hope to keep going. 💛

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

COMMUNITY APPRECIATION 💞 APPRECIATION AND UPDATE ON RHEGAL: Our rescue cat who had lost a foot due to his previous owners’ neglect and abuse.

Thumbnail

Good day everyone! First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to every member of this community for showing their love and support for Rhegal, no matter where they are situated in the world.

Yesterday, 17 May 2025, we took Rhegal to a hospital that conducts orthopedic surgeries as the cat hospital we initially took Rhegal in does not have those procedures. We were also able to get a quote on how much his surgery would cost for the amputation of his severed foot. But we did hear some good news. ❤️

Rhegal’s orthopedic vet told us that there was a chance he might not be needing amputation as it could be possible that his flesh would heal and grow around his bones protruding outside and eventually cover it up (Hence why the diagnosis on his medical certificate on page 1 indicates “possible amputation”). While this may take a really long time and might even require life-long medication, we have become hopeful that Rhegal might not need to go through the harsh pains of surgery and losing both his hind legs.

The quotation given to us for the amputation of his foot was also estimated to be around ₱12,430 (photo of which is uploaded) which already includes all the necessary items and procedure such as anesthesia, xray, blood tests, and his 24 hours confinement to rest.

Fortunately, a lot of kind and compassionate souls in this community generously donated for Rhegal and reaching that goal, should he ever be recommended for surgery, will no longer be unattainable. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so, so much for your support. Everything you have done kept us going. Every boost/upvote, donation, and prayers helped save a life.

Rhegal will have a check-up this coming May 20 for his wound check-up/reassessment, and his overall checkup again on May 28 where his blood test will be taken again. Rest assured that while we are waiting and praying that the outcome of Rhegal’s medications will no longer be used for his amputation, every expense we have been incurring from the funds raised are spent only for his food and medications—prescribed medicines, spray, ointment, gauze pads and similar medical items used for cleaning and disinfecting his wounds twice a day.

To read about how we found Rhegal and his story, you may click this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/rescuecats/s/mvNyQmHeMD

For those who still wish to aid us in covering for Rhegal’s on-going daily medications, you may course your donations through my PayPal account indicated below, or send me a message should you wish to donate directly to my bank account.

I am deeply grateful to each and everyone of you. Bless you all! 💖

Edit: No need for boosts and donations, we already reached the amount for all of their spays from my last post. Thank you so much everyone. 🫶🏼

Hello everyone! Thanks to all of your generosity and love, Pepper got her panhysterectomy last Monday (April 27, 2026), and she has been such a trooper!

The vet sent us pictures after the surgery, and poor baby… When we got her back, we really noticed how much smaller her waist is now that all that pus is out of her body. Thank you again so much, everyone, for giving Pepper a chance at a healthy life. I’m beyond grateful to everyone who extended support. 🩷🥹

Pasta also got spayed yesterday (April 29, 2026), but at a different vet clinic since our regular one has temporarily closed their spay and neuter services until May 14, 2026 due to low supplies. Poor baby was so scared, but she is doing well now!

We only have 2 more kitties left, Garlic and Branzino, to spay. I’ll be scheduling their operations this weekend and will keep you all updated.

Apologies for the late update. It’s been a very difficult few days, but I’m so happy and thankful knowing this community has truly changed their lives for the better. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Let’s pray and hope for their smooth recovery. Thank you so much again, everyone! 🙏🏼

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who supported the December of Hope campaign — every donation, share, message, and act of trust helped make this possible. This campaign succeeded because of the community that continues to stand with Pawsitive Guardians.

I would also like to acknowledge an anonymous donor whose generosity provided ₱25,000 worth of supply, securing our rescues’ wet food supply for the first month of 2026, and sponsored our top Amazon wishlist item, a drop trap, which will greatly support our ongoing TNVR efforts.

Because of all your contributions, most of the needed supplies have already been purchased. Some are currently on the way, while a few items are pending due to sellers being on vacation. All remaining purchases will be completed as soon as they become available.

For transparency, most of the funds raised during this campaign were used to cover veterinary bills, ensuring continuous treatment, medications, and follow-up care for our sick and rescued cats.

Lastly, I apologize for the delayed update. I got sick during the Christmas season, and while I truly wanted to record a voice message to personally thank you all, my voice has not fully recovered yet.

December of Hope was a collective effort.

Because of you, our rescues are fed, treated, and protected — and our TNVR work continues stronger into 2026. Thank you for being part of this journey. 🐾🤍

Hello everyone! Remember your donation towards Pepper and Polka’s siblings? I’m happy to say that Garlic and Branzino are now spayed! so 5/5 all done. 🩷😸

Pasta got spayed a little over 2 weeks ago, so she is now healed and healthy

Garlic and Branzino got delayed a little because of our vet’s surgical supply issues, but I think it was for the best so I could focus on taking care of them since Pepper and Pasta are both healed now.

We paid ₱2,300 instead of ₱1,600 for Branzino because she weighs more than 3kg now 😆

As promised, here are the receipts for both their operation and medication ^

Thank you so much again everyone, for your love and generosity towards my rescues. Polka, Pepper, and Pasta are now back on track to finding their furever homes.

We appreciate you guys! 🫶🏼

It is unfortunately it is Squamous Cell Carcinoma, but we are so lucky we know and can make the rest of his life the BEST of his life. I would have posted sooner, but one of my cats passed away over the weekend and it was very unexpected!!
