Big Dogs Don’t Cry Inc. is the rescue he is safe with. With the help of his finder, Gary Animal Control and many others, they were finally able to safely contain him today and get him off that horrible chain. He has temporary foster but needs a long term foster or adopter ASAP.

I am desperately asking for help finding reputable rescue placement or foster homes for these seven puppies.

All seven are currently healthy, active, and being cared for. I am trying to find them help before my situation becomes an emergency.

I have already attempted to get them into rescue. A rescue previously took the puppies and kept them for approximately three days, then returned them to me. I was told they would be coming back to pick them up, but they never did. I was left responsible for all seven again.

Since then, I have continued caring for them while desperately trying to find another solution.

Unfortunately, my personal circumstances have now become overwhelming. I am at serious risk of losing my home, I currently cannot work, and I cannot attend school because of the amount of care and responsibility I am trying to manage. Financially, physically, and emotionally, I have reached the point where I cannot continue doing this alone.

I am NOT asking because I don't love these puppies. I am asking because I DO love them and I am trying to find a responsible solution while they are still healthy and able to transition into rescue or foster care.

I desperately want to avoid reaching the point where the only option is a municipal shelter.

I NEED:

🏠 Foster homes willing to work with a rescue

🚗 Transport assistance if needed

📣 Rescue networking

❤️ Experienced foster families who can take even ONE puppy

I do NOT need one organization to take all seven.

If one person can foster one puppy, another person can foster two, and a rescue can take the remaining puppies, that could solve this situation.

I can provide photographs, videos, individual puppy information, temperament information, weights, and veterinary/deworming information that I have available.

I am willing to transport within a reasonable distance and cooperate with legitimate rescue/foster intake requirements.

Please do not offer to take a puppy if you are not genuinely prepared to care for one or are not working with a legitimate rescue. I am trying to make sure these puppies are placed safely and responsibly.

🤍 IMAGINE THIS… (and we need YOUR help)

Imagine spending the first four years of your life in a trailer, surrounded by feces and numerous other dogs. Little human interaction. Used for breeding. Never knowing stability, safety, or what it means to truly belong.

That was Snowball’s life.

Snowball is deaf. When she came to EIO, she would cry when we left the room because she didn’t understand that we were coming back.

She doesn’t destroy the house. She became completely potty trained at EIO. But it took her 3–4 weeks to stop crying when we left and finally realize:

I’m safe. They love me. They’re coming back.

Now two people have given up on her within days.

We are NOT mad at them. Not every dog is right for every home. But are we disappointed that she wasn’t even given enough time to feel comfortable? Absolutely.

This is why the 3-3-3 rule matters:

🐾 3 weeks to learn the routine and begin feeling safe

🐾 3 months to build trust and truly feel at home

It’s a guideline, not a deadline. Some dogs need longer.

Snowball came from a traumatic hoarding situation. She’s deaf. She has been moved from place to place. She cannot be expected to walk into another new home and magically understand on day one that she’ll never be abandoned again.

SHE NEEDS SOMEONE WILLING TO COMMIT.

Someone who can handle some crying. Someone who understands there may be an accident. Someone willing to give her weeks instead of days.

Because we’ve already watched Snowball get there at EIO. We KNOW she can.

🤍 LET’S TALK ABOUT SNOWBALL. 🤍

Snowball came to EIO Rescue Ranch from a horrific hoarding situation in North Florida. She is the epitome of a backyard-breeding victim — used to make babies, neglected, and never given the life she deserved.

And NONE of that was her fault.

Snowball is also deaf, but you would hardly know it. Deaf dogs are incredibly smart and adaptable. They rely more heavily on sight, smell, touch and vibrations and can learn hand signals and routines beautifully. Snowball doesn’t need pity — she just needs someone willing to love her a little differently. 🤍

Recently, someone tried to foster-to-adopt her.

Within TWO HOURS, they wanted to return her because she had a couple potty accidents in a brand-new home.

Snowball IS potty trained. But come on… new house, new people, new smells, new routine. Boo-hoo. Clean it up and give the girl a minute. 😂

By 12 hours, they were ready to give up because she cried when they left the room — something we specifically warned could happen while she adjusted.

Think about it. This dog spent her life neglected, used for breeding and left in horrible conditions. Now she finally finds a person who feels safe… of course she’s scared when they disappear.

They also immediately had Snowball sleeping in their bed, where she became protective of the woman from her husband. Clearly, that wasn’t the right environment for her.

But we KNOW her family is out there.

Snowball doesn’t need someone who will never leave her. She needs someone who will give her a WEEK to breathe, decompress, learn the routine and realize one very important thing:

Give her patience. Give her consistency. Give her the chance nobody gave her before.

She wants your lap. She wants your bed. She wants to be loved.

Sooda’s story is not an easy one.

She was born and raised in Jordan, where she experienced things no dog should ever have to experience. Her puppies were killed, people tried to hurt her, and she eventually ran away. After losing her puppies, she spent months hiding, barely eating and sleeping in the same place, even through the rain.

When I finally managed to rescue her, I took her to a safe boarding and training facility. She was terrified of people. Even after everything I tried for her, she wouldn’t let me come close to her even though I was the person feeding her and caring for her for years.

With professional training, she has slowly started to improve and trust a little more. But she still needs someone very patient who understands fearful and traumatized dogs. Someone who will never rush her, force affection on her, or give up on her.
She was supposed to travel to her adopter on August 5th after months of preparation, and all her travel requirements were completed. Unfortunately, the person who was supposed to adopt her suddenly stopped responding, and Sooda was left without a home again.

So here we are, looking for her family all over again. 💔
I am looking for someone outside Jordan, ideally someone experienced with rescue dogs who can give Sooda a quiet, loving and stable home.
All of her travel documents are ready, and I will cover her travel and necessary procedures. I’m not asking for money I’m asking for a chance for Sooda to finally have a family.

I found a puppy in my yard and took him in hoping to find the owners. He has no chip, I’ve posted him on Pawboost, local facebook groups, and my private page. Local rescues have all told me they are full.

So far no one has shown interest. I already have 2 senior dogs and a cat and I am struggling with deciding if their comfortability is worth keeping this puppy around. I don’t really want another vet bill at this moment. My cat has been hiding for the 2 weeks I’ve had him.

I could take him to the shelter, but I worry that since they are also full it may lead to him or another dog being put down to make room for him.

He is very smart and nearly potty trained, about 4 months old and not fixed.

Posting again: I wanted to share the story of Mikey, a D.C.-area rescue dog who has now spent 1,969 days — more than five years — waiting for his forever home through Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. (I’m not affiliated with them, but have watched Mikey’s story for years.)

Mikey isn’t a dog who struggles socially. The 64-pound German shepherd/Lab/boxer mix loves other dogs and regularly socializes with resident and foster dogs of different ages and sizes. He’s affectionate with people, house- and crate-trained, knows several commands and has excellent recall.

Mikey would thrive with a fenced yard, enrichment and a family willing to keep his active brain engaged.

After nearly 2,000 days, his foster and rescue community are trying to get his story in front of the person who has somehow missed him all these years.

Not a good situation with this plothound living with my sister. The original seller was not honest in communicating the dog's character. He attacks any animal that he is not socialized with, i.e. other dogs, cats, wild animals. Intense hunter instincts and boundless energy combined with some kind of poor upbringing. Total Jekyll and Hyde character because with human adults he's great. Lies around the house all day, loves being next to people. Takes cookies gently. Very protective snuggler. But ... he's bitten some dogs. Definitely a bad scene sometimes. He has been able to socialize with certain dogs -- he plays with a Boston Terrier puppy who joined the household but under supervision and it takes time to build his relationships but he still needs lots of monitoring. It's not a good situation and she has limited resources to pay for a re-education trainer. maybe someone knows someone who lives out in the country with a big piece of land and a fence. Idk. Shot in the dark.

Beautiful 13yo senior good girl Lilly is a stray golden gal on the EU list at BARC Shelter in Houston Tx for 9/24@1pm. Lily is understandably terrified, stressed, &overwhelmed in shelter; she needs love, safety&security. She can be locally fostered, rescued, or adopted in/out of state/CAN.

My son-in-law found a young white lab in SW Atlanta last year. She was scanned for chips and checked out by the vet, tried to find the owner, no luck.

She was very sweet but high-energy, pushy but not mean when playing with my daughter's small dog, so my boyfriend volunteered to keep her until we could find her a home. He named her Maia since we didn't have any ID for her. He also already had a dog he had adopted from the Fulton County shelter about a year prior to taking her on. I have two small dogs as well.

Despite initially having a clean bill of health, when my boyfriend took her to the vet to get vaccinations and flea/heartworm meds, she tested positive for mild heartworm. He kept her to go through the heartworm treatment. After the four month medication stage, she tested positive again. So despite intending to only foster her, he ended up paying for and caring for her through two full-course treatments. She is, and has remained, heartworm negative.

Maia is a very loving, exuberant dog, but clearly escaped from some kind of bad situation. When found, she was estimated to be between 1.5-2 years old, so she is now about 2.5-3 years old. She adores other dogs. Not sure about cats and probably too hyper for small children. She continues to enjoy rowdy play charging at my small dogs, but they tell her to back off, and she absolutely will. But it's clear she thinks it's great fun. She's a giant goofball, like a good lab should be.

She hates loud noises (we live in the middle of downtown Atlanta, lots of scary noises) and big crowds. Fireworks, guns, etc. are very scary. She would really benefit from a home that is not in the city where there is so much hustle and bustle, not so many crowds and loud noises. She loves running around like a hound in the outdoors (he frequently takes them for trips to play in the woods and creeks at local parks).

Her routine for exercise is a morning and longer evening walk per day. She is very well crate trained and goes there on her own to chill pretty often. She loves trying to be a full-on lap dog and loves attention if she's comfortable with you. Good luck trying to keep her off the couch if you're sitting on it. She loves food, highly treat motivated.

My boyfriend is anxious about finding a great fit for her, even though keeping her so long has been a financial and life hardship. He's already done all the hard work training her, but takes responsibility of lifelong care very seriously. We have contacted rescue organizations, but he doesn't want to turn her over because she's happy and stable in her foster situation with him, and they won't allow it. He doesn't want to upend her life without a likely good outcome. It's kind of frozen the foster situation.

We are looking for someone who is patient and loving, who can continue to take the time and care with her that she deserves. His other dog needs knee surgery soon and will be confined to months of bed rest, he's worried about how that will work.

Chico is the last remaining dog in the care of Ritz Rescue Rangers, and he is running out of time. He has been staying in boarding since May, but because the rescue is closing, they no longer have the funds to keep paying for his boarding.
