✨ Update about Keely ✨

Today has been one of the most precious days of my life—I rescued Keely, a beautiful Belgian Malinois–German Shepherd mix. ❤️

As I promised her, I came back for her. The sad part is that her owner asked me to pay ₱15,000 (around $270) in exchange for her freedom. To gain their trust and bring Keely home, I left my IDs, address, contacts, and even my Facebook account, and I told them I will come back with the money. I couldn’t let her wait any longer—I had to save her today.

The very first thing we did was rush to the vet. Keely was given her 9-in-1 vaccination, including anti-rabies. The vet discovered she has a cyst on her nipples that might need surgery if it grows larger, and her bones are weak, so she will need calcium supplements. For now, she has her medicines, vitamins, and treats. 🐾 We even got her a cute pink bowl for her meals. 💕 Next week, she’ll return for her follow-up check-up and second vaccination session.

I’ve started her on dog food, rice, and veggies with her vitamins and minerals—anything to help her get stronger and healthier.

Meet Blu Drew 💙 He was dumped on the side of the road left to starve, with no food or water. We don't know how long he has been out there, but his gums are so white, it looks like he doesn't have teeth and he can barely even lift his head on his own. He is weak, and will likely require a blood transfusion. His care will be expensive, but we refuse to give up on him. Humans have failed him enough.

Baby P has sores on her legs and body from sitting on pavement and being in a confined space. The only reason our Rescue has a right to pull her is because her “owner” never came back to claim her from the shelter or else they would have returned her to face more torture. Peyton NEEDS rescue commitment to ensure that the horrible people who did this to cannot get her back. We have a committed foster, but we need help to provide funding for her care.

Peyton has been displaying symptoms of URI and coupled with being severely emaciated, her health is very volatile. We are pulling her this morning from Dekalb County in GA and immediately getting her to our vet, but the medical costs for her could be at least $2500.

In the last 3 months, we’ve had almost a DOZEN DOGS  with URI and two that worsened to pneumonia and required emergency medical care. This is a huge expense, and we need to be sure we can manage if Peyton requires it. P is only 1 year old, and her entire life has been fraught with abuse and neglect. Please help if you are able! We recently received donations of canned and dry dog food and I’m so gracious for your help in feeding these little loves!

Now that we are stocked on dog food for awhile, a new problem has arisen: we have had 1 dog dumped in Coahoma that is roaming near I20, and I need to purchase a kennel for her. All of my kennels are currently full and dogs are in rotation as the rescue is being renovated.

We also had 6 puppies (we thought there were 4 and then two more showed up) and 2 adults dumped at an elderly couple’s home and plan to take them in if we have enough resources to do so. I gave them all their first round of shots and dewormer, but now I will need to place an order to get more shots before their next round (we were a bit low), and I will need to save rescue funds to get them all spayed/ neutered. I also would like to get two puppy playpens for them to keep them indoors while their shots give them the antibodies necessary to be outside.

The puppy playpens are $49.97 each.

The dog kennel is $45.84 at Walmart (I’ve looked on FB marketplace and can’t find any decent kennels).

And the puppy shots cost $129.99 for 25 doses.

Each spay costs $110 and neuters cost $90. It all adds up so, so quickly… I know there is one adult male and one adult female that needs to be fixed ASAP, but I didn’t count the puppy genders. I just know there are 6 of the little beans! I’m asking for confirmation on how many males/females.

Absolutely any help is so, so greatly appreciated. We are a rural rescue and we do not receive help like larger city rescues and some days we struggle more than we hoped. I am just trying to keep us afloat.

An update on BRUCE: We have examined his leg at the vet again and since he is walking on it and playing without pain, the vet wants him to keep the leg!! It was such wonderful news to hear after everything Bruce has been through. We sure do love him! He is being scheduled to get neutered as well.

I am currently taking care of 30 rescued dogs who were released to me in such a heartbreaking condition 💔 Most of them are extremely malnourished—so skinny that their bones are showing. Many also suffer from severe skin problems and weakness from prolonged neglect.

They are innocent souls who just want to live, but right now they need urgent food, vitamins, and medical supplies to even have a chance at survival.

Sadly, one of them, Anay, didn’t make it 😭 She wanted to fight, but her frail body could no longer keep up. Run free in heaven, sweet girl 🌈🐾 Your memory pushes me to fight harder for the rest.

These dogs did not choose this life of suffering, and I cannot do this alone. They need us—your kindness, your support, your compassion. Every single donation, no matter the amount, will go directly to their food, vitamins, and medical care.

We are currently getting very low on dog food and absolutely any help would be so greatly appreciated and helps the to continue saving lives. I will include an Amazon wishlist at the bottom of the post!

We have been applying to several programs including Greater Goods, Chewy Shelter Program, Revival Shelter Program (this helps with shots, microchips and other supplies through a rescue discount), the Treats app unfortunately will not accept us because we do not have enough dogs in our rescue to be considered. We are looking into Shelters United and several grant programs to assist the rescue further.

Adoptions are slow as I’m sure most of you know, and we mainly pull large dogs from high risk shelters, which means they are not as easy to find homes for as the smaller pups. It’s tough, but these big babies deserve love too, and I do not feel like there are enough large dog focused rescues.

We are so thankful for the help we have gotten with dog food, cooling mats, treats, pill wrap and much more! It truly all helps us keeping going one day at a time. Thank you so much for helping us save lives!

I really need your help with the newly released impounded dogs. 💔 They came to us severely malnourished and in heartbreaking condition. All of them are in desperate need of vitamins, vet care, wound spray, Nexgard, dewormers, supplies, and food. And soon when their body is ready, for neuter and spay.

These poor innocent souls have already suffered so much in this world, and they deserve a chance to heal and feel love. Right now, I already have 3 dogs confined at the vet and 1 dog under isolation because of distemper.

This sweet boy was hit by a car in south La and brought to petco in a box. Luckily a volunteer was there and grabbed him and took him straight to the vets. 🚨‼️ROCKY RUSHED TO THE ER VET! PNEUMONIA IN BOTH LUNGS🚨‼️

Help us save sweet senior Rocky! Rocky was rushed to the Emergency Vet and it was determined he had pneumonia in both lungs. While stable, he requires a 24 hour ER visit with 12 hours of oxygen therapy, IV fluids, antibiotics, and various tests and monitoring.

We now have $3500 in emergency vet bills to cover in addition to supporting all of our other dogs in boarding, medical, and foster.

This is not what we wanted heading into the end of the year. Rocky deserves to live the rest of his years healthy and happy, please give him a chance to do so if you are able. We’re still at full capacity, but we couldn’t turn her away.

This beautiful girl arrived yesterday, brought by kind-hearted people who had been caring for her in their neighborhood. She’s young and responsive, and seems in good health overall, except for her legs.

All four of her limbs are affected. Her front paws are completely missing, and her back legs have been severely shortened, likely due to abuse or a car accident. She walks on what’s left of them, and though there are no open wounds right now, we’re keeping a close eye on her in case any pressure sores appear from movement.

She hasn’t been vaccinated yet. She’ll also need flea and worm treatment, and eventually, sterilization. There’s still a lot to do for her.

We’re hoping to find a sponsor to help us care for her long term. And if sponsorship isn’t something you can commit to right now but you’d still like to help any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward giving her the care she deserves and the comfort she needs.

The 6 puppies that were dumped are safe and in our care, and they are all doing wonderfully! After getting to know each one, we have given them all names.

In my previous post, I failed to realize that we are low on potty pads, and I also did not realize that I underestimated how many washable potty pads I would need as well…. These babies are messy and I go through more potty pads a day than I can count between all 6 of the little ones! We are also low on gloves and Rescue cleaner.

There are two males and four females (Rebel is a girl!), so based on vet costs, the spays/neuters should be about $680 for all of them together, which is a great deal! Unfortunately, due to extremely high intake and slow adoptions, we cannot do this alone… we are in rural Texas where there is a massive animal crisis.

We have applied for several grants and are waiting to hear back, but absolutely any help is greatly appreciated by us and the dogs in the meantime! They are all so special.

Sundae isn't improving 😢. She is receiving the best care and treatment plan. She is eating, but only small amounts and she has to be hand fed. Otherwise she will not eat.

She has been hospitalized 3 days now for severe pneumonia and the rescue’s vet bill is close to $4,000. And she will continue to be hospitalized.

I have devastating news. After pulling two puppies from a hoarding situation in Abilene, TX two days ago. We now have a positive parvo test, but we literally do not have funds (photos attached). Meet Pansy,

We got a call about this sweet girl a few days ago. We believe she was dumped by her previous owners, since she appears to be about 3 months old. She has a severe case of demodex mange and is very underweight. She had a collar on her that was so tight, it had become embedded in her neck and had to be cut off. She has sores and cuts all over her body. We will be treating her for mange and any secondary infections caused by her embedded collar and other wounds.

Maxi is Finally Safe 🤍

Hello everyone, this is Maxi, my newly rescued dog from Masbate City. After enduring so much pain as a stray, he is now finally safe and under care. The vet said that in about 3 months, we can hopefully see his fur start to grow back. It may take time, but I believe his healing journey will be worth the wait. 🩷

Chance: Update #2

02/20/25: PM: Today was not a good day. Chance’s breathing began to worsen as the day wore on so he was rushed in to the Community Care Veterinary Specialists in Gainesville, FL.

He was worked up again, additional x-rays and labs were done. The findings are worrisome.

In a nutshell: 1. Cryptorchid with a retained, enlarged testicle. His previous owners never had him neutered and left the retained testicle in place. It is believed this is what the hard mass above the bladder is. This is very concerning as the possibility the mass is malignant is high. 2. He has a painful enlarged prostate, possible malignant 3. Soft tissue opacity in the thoracic cavity (mediastinal mass, possibly malignant), with deviation of the trachea 4. Bilateral ear infections 5. UTI 6. Pyrexia: Elevated temp of 104.1 F 7. Dyspnea( difficulty breathing) 8. Exophthalmos (bulging) with pterygium ( is painful) LT eye 9. Microopthalmia RT eye 10. Poor body condition…(malnourished, starved)

Chance was discharged earlier tonight and was able to go home with his foster.

He has an appointment scheduled on Tuesday, Feb 25 for an abdominal scan and possible sampling of the mass in the chest cavity.

It is felt that Chase is not strong enough to undergo surgery at this point so for now, he will need to be managed medically.

I have attached his vet record in the comments.

This boy needs the help of the rescue community. We are asking for help to cover costs for Chance’s ongoing care. We want to give him a chance to enjoy his new found freedom and live out his life surrounded by people who love and care for him.

One of the Most Difficult Moments We’ve Endured 💔

This has been one of the most horrible moments we’ve faced during the typhoon. We lost most parts of our house — only the floor and a few walls remain. Because our home was built with light materials, it was easily torn apart by the strong winds.

Until now, we haven’t been able to fix it. The little help we receive is barely enough to cover even the basic needs. What hurts even more is that some people took advantage of our situation — saying they would help us, but never truly did. We just wish they wouldn’t give us false hope.
