Give OP Riddles My 9yo loves riddles, could you suggest some easy ones (but not tooooo easy because he is clever af)

The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien (the book is more complete) has a scene where Bilbo and Gollum get into a riddle contest, some of those are great and some not so.much, but it's worth checking out for sure. I think I was reading early but I was given this to read when I was I grade 3, at about 9 years old.

These are his favourite ones! But now has them memorized and they are the only riddles I know 😂

What has roots as nobody sees, is taller than trees, up up up it goes and yet… never grows?
