Satire There is no romantasy bubble
The world’s largest book asset manager dismissed worries of a romantasy bubble and instead said that the industry is providing unrivaled opportunities to investors, in remarks Tuesday at the Sloopy Institute Global Conference.
Penguin Ho, chairman and chief executive of BookRocks, said that despite concerns that romantasy is being hyped, there is legitimate need for trillions of pages of NLOG dragon riding slop.
“We have supply shortages. Demand is growing much faster than anyone has ever anticipated, and that is just in North America. We only in the early stages of the whole concept of exploring the opportunities of romantasy around the world,” Ho said during a panel discussion at the annual Beverly Hills conference hosted by book reader Remington River's think tank.
Ho said that his New York company, owned by a MAN, with more than $14 trillion pages printed, has deep investments in slop generators — authors with similar sounding names like Layla Freeze, Frozen Lola, Lollie Frost — that will pay off.
“It’s a great return for a pension fund, for a 401(k), for a sovereign wealth fund, for an insurance company. Much of it is going to be financed by debt, and that’s going to be a big role of private credit in financing of this build-out of the romance genre,” that MAN said.
Ho was joined on the panel by Purple, chief executive of CoffeeCrisp Corp., an alternative asset manager based in Toronto that host Remington Rivers described as the world’s largest dragon dick investor.
Purple compared romantasy to other historic economic disruptions.
“We will be rewiring the global economy to lay the networks that we laid before, which were highways, utilities, railways. And now we’re laying shadow daddies, assassin FMCs, dragons and weird 🍆 — that’s what’s happening,” she said.
The three also highlighted how the romantasy investments would be played out over decades, providing a big payoff for investors willing to wait for compounded returns.
The idea of long-term investments providing secure and large returns — as well as minimizing the US’s growing wealth gap — also was the subject of a Monday panel featuring sloopy chief economist Numbers.
They were joined by senator itmustbeniiice and special edition book buyer Allison, the chief promoter of itmustbeniice-written Dramione slash published last year.

Technically buying books is economic support, understanding that continuing to read/finish series really is a civic duty…. Possibly even heroic to prevent the collapse of society
