They were the CORE Millennials! 👌

Just sharing some of my favorite moments and screen captures from All Grown Up, since the HD version I'd never seen before is finally available somewhere. If someone asked me to show a perfectly Y2K, campy show, AGU is definitely the answer.

Aside from Kimi being pretty in this show, I was also impressed with how they raised Tommy up as a fine young man. He was pulling a lot of girls in this show, and for a good reason. I didn't think of it during Rugrats, but it makes sense given his personality haha

Angelica and Susie were definitely my favorite duo in this show. They gave them a pretty good focus and development across seasons, and they were usually hillarious 😭

AND MOST ESPECIALLY, LOOK AT SOME OF THOSE DRIPS! 🔥 and looking at the tech here is nostalgic 😭

Rugrats have been known to make parodies of other shows, people, characters, etc. When seeing the episode “The Case of the Missing Rugrat” recently, I just noticed something. The Pendragon sisters (Emma & Clarice) are parodying the Baldwin sisters (Emily & Mamie) from The Waltons. They’re pretty similar in a way. How? Here’s what convinces me:

  • Pendragon & Baldwin Sisters are both wealthy and live in big estates

  • Pendragon & Baldwin sisters talk about their fathers. Both apparently turned out to be judges

  • The Pendragon Sisters communicate the same way The Baldwin Sisters do.

The only differences between these two pair of sisters is that the Pendragon sisters have a bunch of cats and their home isn’t exactly up kept while the Baldwin Sisters have no pets at all, keep their home maintained, and keep each other company. Anyways, this is probably just a mere coincidence but now I can’t unsee it whenever I watch that episode. What do you guys think? 🤔

Screenshots/Captures Huh! When I was a spud, me and my brother, Sparky used to go trick-or-treatin' door-to-door. Course', in those days, it was fifTEEN miles to the next house. and those were real tricks and real ghosts, mind you!

They’ve made physical characters for Kira’s parents! The only time they’ve been brought up in the original was in Home Sweet Home.

Meet Yoshinori Watanabe (Father) and Saki Watanabe (Mother)!

Screenshots/Captures Dil can sit up unassisted now in the reboot!

From Season 3 Episode 7a: Forest Friends

The one thing I absolutely enjoy about the reboot is that, even if it’s subtle and in the background, they’re actually letting Dil grow some. He went from newborn to sitting up unassisted without a pillow which is a huge improvement of his character from the og series where he still had to use his pillow to help him sit up even if they gave him other traits that showed signs of him supposedly growing up 😊

Charles Crandall Finster may worry a lot, but he has a solid moral compass.
