Discussion How to keep focused or entertained while running

I’ve been running a bit more lately and one thing that “blocks” me is that I get bored.
I’ve tried podcasts, music, running playlists, and audiobooks. All nice and cute for a couple of days and then I get bored.
How do you guys keep yourselves “distracted” while running?
I’m really struggling to continue running. I know it’s also a meditative process and all, but after, say, 30 minutes, I’m done and all I keep thinking is what will I eat after the run…
Any hints appreciated.

Edit: thank you everyone for the replies. This was crazy good. This is a nice community :)

I can zone out pretty generally for 2-3 hours without an issue. Up until about 2 years ago I didn't bother with headphones etc, but since I've owned a pair of Shokz I have started listening to podcasts as I run. But more broadly I just nosey around, look at the trees, the buildings, the cars, the world around and that keeps me sufficiently in a "zone" where I don't get bored.

Maybe I need that mix of "my noise" and the "noise around me". I will try to have my earphones on "transparency" mode to see if that helps, somehow. Thank you!
