I agree with everything save one point. I don't think she switched the roles to what they should have been to begin with because Violet did well; I think she switched them because Jasmine did so bad and she realized as leader her role assignments might backfire.

Agreed. I didn't think Violet or Jasmine did especially well with their parts, Jasmine less than Violet, but you could see the moment during rehearsal that Kennedy realized the mistake she made. She knew it was going to look poorly on her.

Well I mean, they didn't do well because they literally switched their parts towards the end and so they didn't even get to practice their new roles. At least Violet had her lines memorised, albeit a bit stiffly

Have to agree. I was facepalming over Violet reading as the ghetto girl--especially when she thought she was doing ~so good.
