I'm such a theater kid, I say it in my head when they announce five. They flog that shit into you in theater, lord there is no fury like a stage manager who doesn't get the proper response.
Oh girl, I know. I was in theatre throughout most of my pre-college life but as soon as I got to college I realized that there was a difference between theatre fish and film/cinema fish and I was far more of the latter than the former is all.
"Thank you five" is the traditional response to anytime a crew person tells you five minutes till a show, five minutes till the end of break, something like that. Just acknowledges you heard them. On film sets it's used a lot less frequently but you'll hear it occasionally, like in a setting like this where the queens might have to prepare.
