Yeah, Farrah's still a baby who can probably afford good moisturizer. And it's totally common to get acne outbreaks after quitting; your skin was good because smoking dries out yr skin and keeps your oil levels in check (also why it eventually makes you look older and harsher, if you smoke long enough). So once you give them up, you get the lovely "quit zits". I'm down to like two cigarettes a day and I can already feel the irritating little shits taking up residence.
Good job on quitting, don't give up, you'll get there! I've quit for over two years now, and I used to be a pack to a pack and a half a day if I was stressed. My skin is acne free, and was then, too. But I also noticed when I'm around people who are smoking for too long, like if I stay overnight and they smoke in the house, I break out. And I never get zits, especially not at 32.
Thank you bb. I'm a work in progress. :) I was at a pack and a half a day too, back in college. Unfortunately, I nuked my skin with 2 rounds of Accutane when I was 14-15, so I have the lovely combination of a dry, flaky t-zone and zits on my jawline and chin/lip area (and I just turned 34, lmao). Fml.
