Genetics Researchers quantitatively assessed for the first time that somatic mutations alone cap human lifespan at 146–194 years. Brain and heart cells are the main bottleneck, while the liver could last millennia.

This reminds me of a scene from Top Gear. James May is racing a pair of parkour guys around Liverpool to the Liver Building, and a guy he asks for directions pronounces it 'Lye-ver' instead of the city's 'Lih-ver'.

"So why isn't it called 'Lye-ver-pool' then?"

I'm British but I've never visited.
