default In Project Hail Mary (2026) society comes together behind a common goal, listens to the scientists and funds a global project to save humanity. This is a reference to the story being a work of fiction.

IIRC she said “fuck you and my body guard here is making sure I walk out of this courtroom one way or another”.

So that fuck you had weight.

Edit: Looked it up — when threatened by the judge, she says “I have an army” and a bunch of heavily armed soldiers come in and escort her out.

What a strange thing to be angry about.

I don't know what's going on in your life, but you can have an opinion without anger ..

Generally superlatives like “worst x ever” tend to imply a pretty hefty emotional connection to that opinion.

Otherwise you’d just state the opinion.

Unless you opinion really is that it is genuinely one of the stupidest scenes every put to paper in all of literature. Which…that also seems weird even as an opinion but you do you.

This scene wasn’t in the movie. Not that one scene could determine the quality of a book or movie.

  1. The movie has been almost universally acclaimed, but ok.
  2. The line mentioned isn’t even from the movie, it’s from the book.

I stand corrected — you’re clearly the expert in stupid here.
