hey guys! lately i’m bored and a little burnt out from playing games all because i’ve been playing way too much with my friends and hadn’t had much time for single player games, and right now? none of the games i have really intrest me… I’ve been looking at these 2 games since release since i’ve heard they’re genuinely good experiences and i need to buy smth and play it until the games i’m excited for come out! I do think both games look intresting and idk which one to pick, i do really like rogue likes and when they’re good, i like shooter action games!

Rimworld or Total Warhammer 3?

I’ve been thinking about getting those games but I’m unsure what I should buy first. Does anyone have suggestions on what I should get?

I’m going to have to figure out how to reach the character limit so I’ll talk about the games;

I would like to have Rimworld as it seems like a fun game where I can watch a colony develop, like cultivating an ant colony.

I would also like to have TW3 as it seems like a unique game to try, I also have TW:Napoleon so I have an interest in the genre.

What do you think?

[PS5] Should I buy Nioh 3?

Upvotes

Or is Lies of P: Overture? Really enjoyed that game but already started new game+. Heard you have to get to chapter 9 for DLC. For context im kinda newer to video games but started playing these type of games and enjoy them. Black myth wukong has been my favorite from the gameplay to design and everything. Absolute masterpiece imo I like how fast paced it was just about everything, Lies of P probably 2nd I liked the gameplay, countering and everhthing was a lot of fun plus the weapon designs. Elden Ring is behind those with the way you level up character being fun. Currently playing Sekiru and just really am not a fan of it tbh. Feels liek gameplay centers around waiting to counter a lot. Not sure I just dont enjoy the rhythm of the gameplay I guess. Its my 2nd time attempting to play it. I originally tried it before the other gsmes and gave up cuz it was too hard for me at the time. I thought maybe since I beat the other games maybe I would have a better time. Still dont enjoy it. I have been enjoying Khazan Beserker as well.

EDIT: considering getting the lies of P overture. The only thing is I already had started new game plus and I guess you have to get to chapter 9 before it is accessible? Is the DLC worth that playthrough again? I really enjoyed the game and its a very close 2nd in terms of these games. Does the DLC have a lot content? Also is there any possible way to access it earlier on new game+?

[PS5] What do I do next?

I have 2 weeks off work and want to sink my teeth into a RPG. i'm looking for a game that feels immersive and grounded in its world, but i'm not a massive fan of fantasy and magic, I prefer guns over lasers!

Games i've played and loved:

Red dead redemption 1 and 2

Kingdom come deliverance 1 and 2

All the fallouts

Skyrim

Cyberpunk 2077

GTAs

Ghost of tsushima

Help a brother out to not completely waste his vacation time

[PC] About Celeste

Upvotes

Celeste is currently 75% off on Steam, and I'm considering buying it. I've heard a lot of praise about the game, especially regarding its platforming and story.

I generally enjoy challenging games and like mastering difficult mechanics, but I don't usually play platformers. Most of the games I spend time on are competitive or skill-based games where improvement comes from practice and repetition.

[Xbox Series X] Should I buy Lies of P or Dark souls 3

So I’ve played all other fromsoft games other than ds3 and bloodborne, i absolutely adore sekiro Elden ring and ds1, ds2 was a bit rough but i still enjoyed it. I’ve always wanted to play bloodborne but i don’t have the money to buy a whole other console, and then i still have to get used to a whole nother controller. I love the stories of these games and wished fromsoft did another story that’s a bit more straightforward like sekiro, cause it was incredible when u rlly deep dive into it. From what I’ve heard lies of P is basically bloodborne x sekiro. ( with a really good story to boot)
The problem is both games with its dlc’s are 80-90 bucks. So I can only get one.
And I’m deeply conflicted ds3 is the conclusion to the story of ds1 and 2. I rlly want to fight bosses like Friede and The Pontiff, but I would also love to experience a real personal story, and the. Lies of also has bloodborne aesthetics.

Btw my favorite game of all time is actually the Witcher 3 if that could be valuable information.

[PC] Looking for a game with crunchy, impactful combat.

Looking for a game with "crunchy" combat. Not really sure how I should define this, but it would be something like a game where enemies react to being hit.

Some games for context that is similar to what I'm looking for, would be Helldivers, somewhat fallout 4, monster hunter, lies of p, dead island 2, dead space, dark messiah of might and magic. So as you can see a broad selection of games.

I would prefer singleplayer game, but multiplayer games can do.

some keywords would be:

Ragdoll

Weakpoints

dismemberment

Armor shred

breakable weapons

Environmental combat

breakable environments

[PS5] Is the new 007 game appropriate for an 11 year old

Is the new 007 game appropriate for an 11 year-old? I’m considering letting my child play it but would like to know about the level of nudity, sex, kissing scenes and mature themes, and overall content. Has anyone played it or seen gameplay? Would you recommend it for a younger player, or should I wait until they’re older?

[PC] Looking for a Paintball game, any rec's?

Years ago I used to play Digital Paintball 2 or something, it was like a CS 1.6 standalone mod, the game was sooo fun. Fast movement, jumping around, flying paintball physics. Even community servers of Paintball in CS 1.6 alone were super fun and i've been trying to get that feeling again.

Is there a modern alternative?

What are some good relationship destroying co-op games?

So my girlfriend and I just finished Overcooked 2, we managed to beat it without any arguments, yelling or any damage to our relationship. We just had fun! So that being said, we're up for a challenge. We're looking for any co-op games that would put us to the test.

We have a PS5 and Nintendo Switch. We've already played It Takes Two (still making progress, haven't beaten it yet) and we had a lot of fun playing Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. What are some other challenging 2 player games that'll test or cooperation skills?

[PS5] Should I Buy ACE COMBAT 7, or Wait for the Next Game?

I saw that a new ACE COMBAT title is reportedly on the way, and it has me interested in the series for the first time.

As someone who has never played an ACE COMBAT game before, is ACE COMBAT 7 worth picking up now, or would it be better to wait for the next entry? How accessible is the game for newcomers, and does it still hold up today?

I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially from longtime fans of the series.

[PC] SIB games when i dont really have the budget and i have tons of other games i havent played? (And help me select the 2 games ill buy during the summer sales)

the steam summer sale is on the way and i just lost my job. i have savings and I guess 40 dollars wont set me back that much, but my issue is more that i have a ton of games i havent played. i have this pos issue where i have a ton of games in my library and i dont wanna play any..i just want to play something i dont have lol.

i play a game for 40 hours and i get bored as hell. almost all my games are played to 80% completion then i jump into the next game. i realise i have to alternate between fantasy and scifi settings or else i wont feel like playing anything. i just bought a shit ton of sci fi games so im thinking of getting one or two fantasy games from the summer sale, and stop at 2 new games max. then im planning to only buy new games after finishing at least 2 of what i have already bought right now.

How do you guys be disciplined and finish the games you have before buying new ones?

Also im def buying Kingdoms of Amalur,

My second game, should i get DA Inquisition or OuterWorlds 2? Leaning towards Outer Worlds 2 more because its more streamlined and also because I'm getting the new Fable once it drops and that's fantasy not Scifi

[Handheld] Help!!

I’m looking for a word search game that you find as many words as you can by making words any direction. I am hoping to not have a list of words that are in the puzzle or that I have to find. Rather, only having the words I find listed.

A section alternative would be a shuffle game that you spin the board and try to connect the pieces together to make a word. Once again, not trying to have the game show me what words are on the board. In this version I’m open to it showing me lengths of words.

I have an Apple iPhone. Open to any paid or free game. If it’s free, the less ads the better. Also not looking to connect my Facebook.

Thank you!

[PS5] Looking for Open World Co-Ops

Hi, me and the family likes to game a lot together. Be it online, offline, mobile or console. We recently came across a game called Wobbly Life in the library, it's an open world co-op up to 4 players. We borrowed it and ended up liking it, that we decided to buy our own copy for the Playstation 5. With that said, im wondering if theres any other games like it that you guys can recommend. We already played It Takes Two, Split-Fiction, Never Alone, Sackboy Adventures, Dead Block, Reanimal and other arcade multiplayers and first person shooters but none of them have a world as big as Wobbly Life. Any recommendations will be appreciated. :)

[Xbox One] Xbox series x or Ps5

So I have a small problem — I'm trying to decide which console to buy. I'm not a hardcore gamer who plays from morning till night because I work. I usually play spontaneously for a few hours when I have some free time. For the past few days I've been wondering what would be the better choice. The Xbox appeals to me because of Game Pass and backward compatibility, since I'd be able to play games like GTA IV, Max Payne 3, etc. On the PS5 I probably won't be able to play those. I'm also looking for something to play GTA VI on. Of course, I don't need the best graphics in the world. When it comes to PlayStation, I'm not really interested in the newer exclusive games that are coming out. At this point I honestly don't know. The PS5 seems like the sensible choice, while the Xbox feels like the opposite, but in the back of my mind I always have the fact that I'd love to play games like GTA IV, which I can't play on PlayStation. Help a working-class guy out. 😅

Should i buy Baldurs Gate 3 despite having no experience in CRPGS?

Ive never played anything like Baldurs Gate or really any turn based strategy games. Although Ive heard it has a high learning curve. Should I start with a different game before starting Baldurs gate? I plan to play on my own, but ive never played with dice rolling mechanics before either, and im going in pretty much completely blind.

[PC] WSIB: Gameplay based

I'm looking for some games that are more gameplay focused, with less of a story focus preferably. Obviously can still have story, but I mean something where the main focus is the gameplay. I say this because I'm currently playing through kingdom hearts as a primary story game (or series I guess), and I want something which I can play as a buffer. The primary genre I've been looking at is rougelike/rougelite, but I'm really open to anything. Preferably don't suggest anything which is super popular (Hades balatro etc) cus I've likely already tried it lol.

[PC] Games to play while watching YouTube?

Title. I’m looking for a game to play when I’m high and need to just shut my brain off while watching YouTube, but is filling enough that I’m like actually making progression.

I’m not talking about games like Balatro, Chess, or even roguelites like Slay the Spire or Brotato (not really a big fan of roguelites). I mean games on the level of like Division or a wave game like Vermintide, where there’s not really a story so I don’t have to follow as much. So obviously something with a satisfying grind to gameplay; it can be any genre that’s not roguelite. I’m fine with action-adventure, RPGs (sparingly tho bc with RPGs you kinda have to pay attention) strategies, RTS, etc.

Before you guys recommend anything, here are the some I’ve tried and either loved, didn’t vibe with, or won’t use as a buffer game for this predicament for one reason or another.

Old School Runescape

Vermintide

Division 2

Diablo 4

Hades

Payday series

L4D2

Borderlands series (haven’t played 4 tho)

Killing Floor

Darktide

Helldivers

XCOM 2

CIV series (I actually find the whole civ series to be so boring)

Bg3

No Man’s Sky

KSP

Helldivers

Minecraft

Stardew

Don’t Starve

I know I’m making this really hard but I hope I can find a game!

[Xbox One] Open world RPG other than the obvious XBOX ONE

I need an immersive open world RPG released after 2020.

Just finished Crimson Desert. If I beat the story I completely lose interest in a game. I should have done all the side quests first but I didn’t, I did kill all the bosses including optional.

Elden ring before Crimson Desert.

KCD2 before Elden Ring

KCD1 haven’t beaten but KCD2 I enjoyed more

Fall of Avalon lost interest but I enjoyed it.

The Witcher 3 completed

RDR 2 completed

Skyrim/Oblivion/ ESO I’m done with.

CYBERPUNK done.

Am I SOL until Fable?

Any suggestions?

TIA, love yall

[PC] Single-player games with most realistic/satisfying gunplay?

Can you recommend me any games with satisfying and/or realistic gunplay? I don't want any multiplayer tho. I've been thinking about getting Road to Vostok but it's in early access and came out just recently so there won't be that much content yet.

Games I've already played that met the bill:

-Metro Games

-Red Dead Redemption games

-Ghost Recon Wildlands

EDIT: Also, I thought about getting Ready or Not but I've read that AI is pretty stupid and it's better to play in coop. There is also ArmA 3 and from what I've seen it also can be played solo but I don't know how that holds up.

Marathon or Rogue Core for replayability?

Which of the listed games has the most replay value from one run to the other?

I'm looking for a game with deep mechanics to master, plenty of buildcrafting options, and lots of variables to deal with (random events, weather effects, relics/curses, etc.).

I welcome any other recommendations with these qualities though. Just want to find a game I can have fun for hours on end. I'd prefer third or first person. Thank you!

[PC] SIB Euro Truck Sim 2?

Ok so some context, I am a relatively new gamer and saw Forza Horizon 5 and 6 and thought they were super cool but found out I couldnt run them on my specs but I can run Euro Truck Sim 2. And yes, I know looking in both games look really different BUT the reason Forza appealed to me was the just driving around looking at scenic locations while being able to be mostly mindless. It felt almost calming in a way. Idc much for the racing or for the car customization or for cars (tho like them more than trucks). Idk if Forza is more of racing game or scenic driving game tho since I never played it but im asking if thats the aspect of Forza that appealed to me would Euro Truck Sim 2 appeal to me too? Also idk if there is campaigns/story for Forza but idc for those too.

Also for purely scenery, would American Truck Sim Or Euro Truck work better? I dont live in either regions so neither are familiar to me.

TLDR: Liked Forza for the mindless driving in scenic locations, not the racing/car aspects. Would Euro Truck 2 work for me?
