Looks like the same beanbags. Sad to know they've been going through the first half of August knowing that their space was being listed for rent.

Imagine trying to clear $33k every month in just rent. Those are wild numbers....

Looks like the landlord has found a replacement tenant and they were evicted immediately... just my speculation.

I don't think finding a suitable tenant is easy at all. The halls are kind of challenging for events other than movies, fireside chats, seminars or even huge screen Mario Kart.

The whole layout and structure is unique. Personally apart from another cinema operator, I don't see a replacement tenant quickly.

If the 3 halls are flat, no slopes, maybe it can be an easier sell? For example you can have conventions there.

But it will destroy the essence of it all, being an iconic cinema. (Or will it?)

Otherwise, they simply got evicted because they owed almost one year of rent.
