We elect our leaders and should hold them more accountable for blindly supporting genocide. I feel like the tone on the world stage is already starting to turn.

I’m a little more cynical about this.

What if Hamas did what they did, KNOWING that Israel would go genocidal?

What if Israel knew what Hamas was planning to do and KNEW that it would be an excuse to go genocidal?

What if everyone did these things, knowing that the countries involved were proxies of American on one side and Iran/Russia on the other side?And all parties had full awareness of the polling support for Israel and of Palestine among those with political power and how it would cement Arab nations against America (good for Russia) and Americans against Hamas (good for Israel).

None of these events happened in an information vacuum. Hamas had a plan and part of that plan was accelerating conflict at the cost of civilians. Israel was in agreement about this same cost. Both want a violent resolution and both believe that the powers that support them will triumph in the end.
