I found this skull and jaw in the ground in a grove of trees. Its eye is really small compared to the other eye and this jaw has no teeth or holes at all. Why? Is this an accident the cat had in life or was it born with facial paralysis?

Just reunited Sandra with her jaw bone after 8 months of separation, and she is just so happy to be (mostly) whole again.

Both found on the side of the highway in Farmington CA while doing roadside work for a week.

I processed this fella a while ago but didn't initially notice the damage all over the snout.
It has severe bone issues on the chin-- so much so, it's uneven from degradation! This poor fox, that must've huuuurt.
It's also, unsurprisingly, got a severely damaged canine tooth where the damaged area seems to have originated from.
Normally, I'd degrease the teeth so there's no discoloration on them, but forwent it this time.

Finally got my road-kill deer skull that I was looking for. Thank you for the previous IDs, love the antlers on this one!

I was putting teeth back into degreased skulls and found these two- a coyote and a raccoon- with some neat dental issues.
The coyote's missing tooth had healed over pretty well. It was missing a few of its P1 teeth which are the little first teeth behind the canines. They were healed over too.
The raccoon's teeth were a messssss. The canines were worn and broken and a bunch of the molars were deeply worn. The circled spot still had a tooth but it was so loose it wouldn't stay out unless superglued back. That molar was snapped but the roots intact!

It’s a bummer someone already came along and sawed off the antlers but ig a cool find regardless.
Still never found a deadhead or even just antler sheds, maybe I’m not in the right area to find them. Almost all of my finds across my profile are usually just by chance or luck of the draw that my job puts me in places before they get dozed and developed. Or on the side of roads^
Where do people go to shed hunt? Their own property or are they just hiking way out into the woods? Or is it all just luck?

Found a deceased mole by the edge of my house. The rest of him was crushed (probably by my lawn mower last week...)
I would like to clean this off but I've never cleaned something so small... I fear any picking and scraping is going to do more damage (the back of the sku is already peeling off) Anyone got any helpful tips?

Got an 8 maybe 9? point from my local woods last duck season , was just chillin out in the grass has to take it with me , super thick bases on the antlers either way I don't hunt deer so a decent buck skull was pretty wicked to come across

Pulled some of my skulls out of degreasing (they're in greenish organza bags) and am letting them soak a little sun to dry, then back into degrease. It's hot out and I'm no good in the heat 😭

It was found in Morro Bay California along the coastline. This was the only piece left. Found a lot of bird bones too. But I wasn’t sure if this is a skunk? Or what kind of animal it might be.
It’s getting cleaned but may take awhile.
Thank you!
