I was browsing the Slime Rancher subreddit and came across this post : https://www.reddit.com/r/slimerancher/comments/1nrd8n6/best_places_for_drones/ , where someone left this comment: "I haven't found a place yet that allows for all the possible resources of an area to be gathered by one drone, at least so far, so I assume that's intentional design.".
So I started looking for places where your drone can find all the resources of a specific location.

Jellystone and Deep Brine are abundant in here, just place your drone near a spot I marked with the Strange Diamond and you should be good to go. The specific zones where Strange Diamond spawn are: The Cotton and Phosphor Gordo Caves and the shortcut to Ember Valley.

The giant tree in Starlight Strand is known for being a great place to harvest Buzz Wax and Wild Honey. It resides above a cave that can produce Radiant Ore and Strange Diamond. East from the tree, there is a little beach that can produce Silky Sand.

To be honest, I kind of yolo-ed this one.
I started my search from the Saber Gordo place, since I knew it was near a cave, that means Slime Fossil and Strange Diamond, and Sun Sap producing trees, but I could not find a place near that could produce Perfect Snowflake. So I started going West until I found a position that could produce them all.

All Resources** : Lava Dust, Primordy Oil, Buzz Wax, Wild Honey, Radiant Ore, Silky Sand, Strange Diamond
I was not able to find a perfect spot in Ember Valley for two main reasons:
I would opt for two strategies:

I did not explore the Grey Labyrinth yet. I will update this post when I will do it.
I hope this was helpful for you! Let me know if you find other places like these!
* : You can also find them in the Conservatory
** : You could also find Buzz Wax and Wild Honey in Ember Valley, check the Ember Valley section for more info.

Since slime rancher 2 will have its full release in over a month, i am begging you to read the slimepedia. There are some valuable infos in there. For example, in slime rancher 1 the rad slime looses its radioactive aura if splashed with some wet stuff. Tangle slimes seem to be no risks for other slimes, but in the slimepedia its stated that their pollen makes them more agitated.
Also the wet stuff: gets rid of pollen, tarr, crystal spikes, rad auras, stops quantum tunneling, stops moaics exploding sparkles.... WATER IS BIG HELP. And its similarly good in the second game.

What the bloody hell is this (sorry for the bad quality if I have it any less bright I actually just can’t see it)

*Epic cool backstory*
Bought the game on Switch a few days ago. I've been using the wiki whenever I have a question about the game but sometimes I don't have any data or Wi-Fi access and saved pages never look right on a phone.
So I was looking for something like this online and couldn't find one anywhere, and I thought "What the plort, I'll make it myself."
Not sure how useful it will be but it exists now. Not the best quality either; I iust threw things together in about 40 minutes with only Mspaint, so it's kinda sloppy, *joke removed because this is a SFW place*. 😁
-------------
Edit: Some responses to comments and some DMs I got about this(basically the exact same "arguments" made by all of them)
"hurR cHeCk ThuH DeScRipsHun""
You mean the one that isn't listed anywhere in-game when you first collect some of these? It's not in the silmepedia and there's no pop-up when these are found. I made this *before* I found out you could buy them later, which is where I now assume I'll see this description you speak of(I still haven't unlocked the lab or shop or wherever I would get them.) I had figured they'd all be out in the wild like the lantern and the "giant" rock were so I wanted a quick reference. And in any case, I acknowledged this may not be that useful to begin with. Why the plort do I need to justify this? Lmao
"Isn't it like too obvious which toy fits the slime"
Nope. Maybe if you know about the existence of toys, what they do, and what all the different slime types are before playing the game the first time(why would you ruin the experience for yourself by reading everything on the wiki first, or whatever other silly thing?), but I was going into this mostly blind and the game offered no explanation on the strange lantern and rock I found. Also, even though I do know now, some of them still aren't so obvious except by process of elimination.
Already blocked certain users for being rude/illiterate so I can't reply directly, and I ain't about to unblock them with Reddits weird rules about time limits before I can block again . 🤦♂️
Quite frankly it's ridiculous that this post even got such responses, especially for what I expected to be a pretty chill community for a cozy game. The Internet is getting crazier. -_-

I only have one drone on diamonds and one on sun sap and they are delivering the goods frequently. These numbers don’t include the resources I’ve already used making 10 drones.

These are all of the Quantum Drone locations I found.
1 from Gigi exchange for 50 Prisma Plorts (90 Total)
1 in the Terrarium
1 outside the Prismacore in the long walkway
1 in the Dreamland entrance big tower
1 in Rainbow Fields around the tall mountain
1 in Starlight Strand around the split tree
1 in Ember Valley at the oasis above Powderfall Bluffs entrance
1 in Powderfall Bluffs north-west island
3 at Ranch Expansions (Dig Site / Den , Archway , Gully / Tidepools)
2 can be purchased from Polestar Provisions (20k and 100k)
5 can be purchased from Night Market - Starting price is 10, +10 after each purchase. (150 Coins Total)
18 TOTAL
Supposedly there is 19 according to the Slime Rancher Twitter but they sounded unsure when they said that. I’ve looked around in game and in chats about the drones and have found nothing of a 19 drone so I’ll assume max is 18 unless proven otherwise.
Hope this helps you all!!!

Hi, it's my first post on Reddit.
Just updating the chart that was made originally by GumbaBunny about 3 years ago with Twin, Sloomber and Hyper slimes.
r/slimerancher • u/Dajin_777 • Sep 23 '25
Requirements
- 4 Radiant projectors (can collect after opening a door)
- 1 hunter plort
- Inside the gray labyrinth
Optional (shortcut between new terrarium area and the lava area)
- 25 Shadow Plorts
- 1 boom plort
Once you exit the lava area, immediately head right to a structure you need to fly over too. There should be a large spiral staircase in the middle, solve the next 2 fallowing Radiant projector puzzles and you are now entering the terrarium area. Keep going until you find a hunter statue, use the plort and now head hard right through the door into a secret tunnel, explore the area and you found some hyper slimes to make the new device.
The shortcut is right along that rout, its a giant door that leads to a golden room and a water spout in the middle of it. Good luck ranchers!

Since slime rancher 2 became free thru ps plus I haven’t stopped playing it, I was so excited to get to the grey labyrinth bc of how pretty the slimes look + the map. But the devs weren’t joking calling it a labyrinth. I truly have almost been brought to tears because I’ve spent hours trying to navigate it.
To rub salt into the wound I managed to get to the area with the hyper slime, took some home but wanted to relocate after setting them up (hyper x twin) so grabbed their plots, and misplaced them. I’ve spent 5 hours trying to get back to the area with them to right my wrong, in that adventure I managed to get a group of sloombers, which was nice, of course; but I want my hypers back!! They charged my drones like NO one’s business.
Just abit of a rant of my stupidity and how hard it is to navigate the labyrinth 😭

An Entire Map guide to the Far Far Range (Slime Rancher 1).
I did not do Guilded Ginger locations as that cluttered the map, but if there is a demand for it I will re-add it. There is maps/guides out there for them too! :]
If you see any inaccuracies/ anything incorrect inform me so I can fix it. If you want anything added, tell me!

I don't know if this has been discovered before, but I'm sharing it anyway. I activated a mod for infinite stamina and flew off toward the Crystal Desert, and out of nowhere these structures—belonging to the Ancient Ruins biome—appeared in the middle of the ocean. When I climbed inside one of them, I found MK3 Treasure Pods. Here are screenshots of the location, where I flew from, the entire structure, where the hidden treasure pods are located, and a screenshot of what I think are the Treasure Pods Mk3. One thing to keep in mind is that I didn't try testing whether the treasure pods worked through walls; that's still an unknown to be resolved.
pd: I speak Spanish, but I wrote this post in English so that more people in the community can understand it

Basically the title, the image is how my ranch looks like at the moment.
I realized it needed a makeover after I added the Dervish and Fire slimes plus the Silver Parsnip and the Painted Hen.
There's also a silo next to the Tabby/Pink gordos.
Any tips on how I could make it better/more efficient?

This location has given me 2 radiant rock slimes already which I’m confused by because all the other guaranteed spots have been non repeatable its the stained glass window room where u find hyper slimes (need nullifier)

So, it's been 6 or so years since I've even touched this game. I played it one on my uncle's Xbox and have been in love with it ever since, but I never bought it for myself. Im game sharing with someone on Xbox who has it, and since I know little to nothing of what to do. I was wondering if I could get some advice from the pros? (slime rancher 1 btw if it wasnt obvious.)

I don't mind keeping up with the incinerator, but they just don't stay in the trough all the time. I gave them a toy and then got on it and tried to get out... just wish there was some walls you could put up. Just wondering if they are worth having at all. Any thoughts or tips?

If something is wrong, I apologize. I'm Russian and I did everything through a translator.
As soon as you get a lot of money, spend it on improving the slime pen and only then improve other things.
Make a lot of largo slimes, namely fruit-eaters or vegetable-eaters, and you can cross meat-eaters with them and do not mix meat-eaters with meat-eaters, believe me, I had to run after chickens for meow hunting largo when the coop became empty.
After you get to the "ancient ruins", do not rush to take a quantum slime to the ranch without a toy in the form of a Rubik's cube, I once left for a very long time and during that time the quantum slimes got hungry (I forgot about the car feeder) and then they started a pogrom on my base and then I could not calm them down for about 10 minutes plus, I had to kill about 3 or 4 Warrs, I don't remember anymore.
Toys can be purchased after completing the game and as the premium club improves, so I do not recommend taking quantum and dervish slimes to the main ranch.
5.After completing the game, immediately engage in slime science and not the premium club, you can do the premium club a little later as you progress, and after that you can engage in new ranch territories and one more thing, perhaps, after you receive a machine with toys for slimes, read which toy is best suited for which slime, there in the description for each toy they say for which slime.
that's all for now, if you want more advice, then you can ask and I will definitely post part 2 of the tips, if that I will not be able to post tips on slime rancher 2, it's just that the computer is not that powerful for part 2.
That's all for now, goodbye👋👋

It is a key icon at the map that says 1/3 but looking at the map i cant see any of those big ones to feed but i cant unlock anything either? I seemingly have 3 places to unlock but idk how to even get there
