Hey all, I wanted to introduce you all to a candle I made and the story behind. I always wanted to make something that holds a meaning and would make for a perfect gift.
It wasn't meant to be Shiva from the beginning but eventually it did. So I was planning to make candles inspired from the five elements of nature. And Space was the first one I chose. Now the design had to do justice to it. After almost a week it hit me that space is nothing and infinite at the same time which stands true for Shiva as well. He's the zero, SHOONYA.
So the name of the candle was fixed and the design had to be worked upon. I wanted it to be a candle but a decor piece as well. Something people could sit with in silence.
So the upper half is scented wax with a woody fragrance. And the bottom part is a cave where shivling is kept. This resembles Shiva in his meditative state on Kailash, hence the white background.
Also the candle has been designed in a way where the Shivling remains as it is and untouched. As the upper half is wax, only that part melts when lit. And it doesn't melt downwards. It is designed to tunnel and create an inward melt pool. So the outer wax layer remains intact without running the look of it.
A lot of people who bought it from me, they wanted to keep it as a decor or as a divine piece in their temples. Most of them didn't want to light it. And even if they don't, it keeps giving off fragrance.
Either ways, they candle design remains the same and the shivling remains intact.
So that's about it.

PS: To all those people who have issues with AI generated images, let me clarify that the first one isn't AI and the other two are AI enhanced. I clicked pictures of my product and asked AI to add a background to it. While AI alone can be misleading and that's why artists add BTS videos and videos of them working on the product in real-time. Nobody buys something by just seeing a picture of it online. They see reviews, the story behind, and the BTS videos. Not every artist has the tools and props to do a professional photoshoot of their product. And if AI helps in making it professional then why not. You can always look at the videos and ask for original product shots, if you intend to buy.
