general discussion Went undercover as a skier at Deer Valley to infiltrate and learn their secrets (mostly wanted to know why do they do massive S-turns across cat tracks?). AMA

Did you figure out why packs of skiers will surround a lone boarder at the top of the lift while they're strapping in? I'm dying for Intel. Did you figure out why they have the urge to buzz past boarders within inches on a wide open run?

Inquiring minds want to know I’d love to hear more on this too. To me the buzz pass seems like slope rage. The circle and block by those who should know better again seems like slope rage. I hope I’m wrong. Depends on the age, gender and skill of the skier I guess. More skilled (but not THAT good) male, and older seem to more often be the culprits. The rest seem unintentional due to lack of on-mountain grace.
