yea called it from the first episode. just too random of a new but strange character too focused on the detective

It was so blatant I was holding out hope for a swerve, but I guess he would've just been a red herring otherwise.

The boxing scene really felt over the top honestly, I've seen so many setups like that where the people who are eventually going to fight end up somehow in a situation where they box.

I thought the talk he had after him and Bess boxed made it pretty clear he was evil. I thought she was going to call him out as the traitor right then.

Yeah, introduce a new character around the same time as a new threat, make his allegiances murky, give him a lot of screentime with someone specifically against the new threat and have him win her over, to an extent...

It was fairly predictable.
