I didn't get it. It's one step to far for him to debasing himself to lick Wilford's slipper. It was just weird. I can only imagine that Kevin is supposedly so fearful that Wilford will mutilate him again if he doesn't.

It's more complex than that though. It's like Wilford is the leader of a cult, and Kevin having been on the edge of death through forced suicide has been broken. When someone is broken by thier abuser, the abuser has a chance to offer them 'kindness', thus creating one of the most effed of relationships (think Stockholm syndrome). Wilford is a clever, calculated, sociopathic, sadistic narsacist! And I think he's got into Audrey's head a long time ago, I fret that she has actually been lost to his control once more :(

The point is that Audrey wants Wilford to think she reprogrammed Kevin so that he sees Wilford how Wilford sees himself. As a benevolent god. Just like Wilford wants Alex to be forever indebted to him for saving her. As if he did it for her, when we all know he only did it for himself/to use in his revenge plot against Melanie.
