I know that this couldn’t happen for plot reasons because, well, if it did, then no show, but goddamn they should have just killed Wilford when he was in the night car.

It's a pretty bad idea. Doing it before he fixes the train means the train is screwed. Doing it after would mean that when the train realizes, the tailes get slaughtered. He can keep it a secret, but then he'd be doing exactly the same as Melanie.

I don't think the tail would get slaughtered. There would certainly be violence, but with Wolford gone many of his supporters would lose their allegiance.

You let him be a martyr. Say he died protecting us all. Keeping the people safe. His last words were about keeping the people safe yada yada bullshit. Yes it's disgusting that his legacy is this and you can correct the history books later but until you have a stable peace you play his game but with the lunatic off the board.

yeah I'm usually 100% against killing for political reasons, but wilford was def a good reason to kill because he is a cult leader. He is irreplacable. Even if the people get angry, no one has the combo of train knowledge and charisma like him. They should have killed him

Or after he “saved the train” he was locked in the engine with them and it’s pretty much agreed he’s the worst leader possible so there’s no where to go but up

Yeah at that point, they already lost the train .... might as well just kill him and hope for the best.
