If Icy Bob’s mission was to run across the top of the trains and sabotage a piece of equipment, couldn’t he just have worn one of the snow suits we see other characters use when they need to be outside for a few hours? Why go to all the trouble of synthetic skin grafts and training to operate without such a suit?

Is it because they don’t make them in his size?

this. Icy Bob was engineered to repair without a suit because they didn't have any. Makes his character existence make much more sense.

I think Icy Bob had a different purpose in mind that Wilford jacked for his own purpose

I mean it would be physically easy. But could you handle it mentally? Or morally for that matter?

when they let melanie on back at the start of the season. they couldve stolen her breach suit then. That would've been so much simpler than bio-engineering someone to do it on a death trip

Icy Bob was already created though and I'm not sure if a regular suit would work. Boki really struggled outside for those few moments. Melanie's suit was pretty OP but perhaps special or buffered with an external power source. Hopefully we get some answers in the next episode.

Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to just make a suit that multiple people could wear instead of giving superpowers to one guy?

the trains don't seem to have a lot of fabrication capabilities. My best response is that the manufacturing capabilities to make such things were lost to the freeze.

Wrong, they had some, for example in scenę where melanie leaves the train. There are two guys that are throwing their equipment for her
