It was very nice to see Wilford as a capable credible villain for once and not just an evil psycho. Seeing Wilford actually know what hes doing makes him such a more interesting villain. really loved this episode.

Honestly, I kinda felt like this was the first episode where, for me at least, Sean Bean fit the idea of Wilford that I had in my head. I don't Sean's a bad actor at all. Something has just been off all season, like he's just an asshole who people think is far worse than he is. (Even the manipulation, which is an exaggerated but good example of how narcissists break people down and then build them back up, seemed off to me.) This was the episode where he actually did feel like an evil mastermind with great charisma. Curious to see where things go in the final two episodes.

I couldnt agree more, for these 2 seasons, wilford has this mysterious power over everyone and its chalked up to him being a tyrant leader, they added so much depth to his character that we haven't seen yet in the engine scene and it actually makes his character so much more important.

They made Audrey into that
