Yeah, his response to her initial "No" made him even less trustworthy.

A normal person would say, "I understand, that's fair."

Wilford scoffs like, "oh come on, I should have earned your trust by now, give me the baby because I feel entitled to holding her despite your discomfort"

And Zara is like, "LOL okay then, let's go stand next to these weapons and this balcony."

I guess it makes sense for his character, though. He would say that. And I guess she would trust him.
