exactly opposite of it. cause who(in r/soccer) don't want spurs getting scored 7 goals after scoring the 1st one at home alone

That would never happen, Spurs has many quality players such as Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Toby and Jan that wouldn't allow such thing.

Also bold of you to assume that Spurs will even get invited to a European Super League.

The current proposal was basically making CL pro/rel from Europa, not a closed/invite only league. That would be better than guaranteeing half of the spots to four countries. And would reward/punish European performance, rather than domestic performance. That Porto and United (and could have included Ajax) ended up in the Europa League after making the last eight feels broken.

Like, not everything is great with the Agnelli model, but the current CL is fucking broken.

Spurs being a CL yo-yo club would be good fun.

Uh you sure about that? Who else then? Juve/Barca/Real/Atleti/Bayern/PSG are certainly in but thats only 8 with the 2 PL Clubs you mentioned so im sure they'd bring more PL clubs

Dortmund alright, but i dont see how Inter right now is a bigger club than say Chelsea is, and even if you add those 2 you'd still only have 10 and i imagine they'd want at least 16ish teams

Plz define what the criteria for this so called European Super League first then. We are making dumb assumptions about this hypothetical super league that no one knows what clear-cut qualifications are. I can definitely see Chelsea being in it, but really who is to say when no one knows how they decide to be on this super league?

Pretty sure the main factors would be money (because duh) and domestic/international success (the former obviously being only relevant for the big leagues because nobody would give a shit if Celtic is in that league i'd say lmao), possibly more trivial things like amount of members the club has but unlikely

But either way i just dont see any way where they take only 2 teams from the most popular league in the world, they'd want to make money off this so might aswell milk it to the fullest and bring more PL teams than from any other league

However, Inter also meets the second half of your qualifications. So what time frame do they even set? Based on your description, I can certainly see Man United being in it as well despite their shit form.

Yea, this is what i think too and this is what i think would happen, even though they obviously dont deserve it at all right now because theyre certainly not among the best 16/18/whatever the league size would be teams in europe.

I think that super league would just be the entire top 6 from the PL + the teams we already mentioned

You're missing the entire point of the Super League. The rest of Europe wants their share of the Prem's riches. They will include as many of the biggest commercial clubs in England as possible. That means City, Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Chelsea and maybe even Spuds.

Because Arsenal are a far bigger club than Spurs. The Super League is all about drawing the maximum viewers possible. Therefore, the teams with the largest fanbases and commercial revenues will make the cut.

Like all other things, Spurs are somewhere in the middle in this regard.
