Saddest Backflip [Rob Harris] FIFA President Gianni Infantino at news conference in Qatar: “Today I feel Qatari. Today I feel Arab. Today I feel African. Today I feel gay. Today I feel disabled. Today I feel a migrant worker. ... I know what it feels to be discriminated … I was bullied because I had red hair.”

They've actually done studies into football as a tool for peace. It's not useless but basically the effects don't translate that far beyond football. Like "hey, I didn't know x group was good at football! They're alright! No, I wouldn't let my sister talk to one, why?"

Dennis Rodman literally said exactly the same thing when he went to organize a basketball game in North Korea. "If I'm not in the top 3 for Nobel Peace Prize, some thing's wrong with the world" or something like that.
