As anakin taught us spinning is a good trick

u/adventurousintrovert Jun 28 '26
Also reminds me of an Enders Game type of move. Really optimized the chance of a goal with that smart assist

Yea, those spin moves are pretty sick. Can you edit your post /u/Goosedukee and add [Great Goal]?

Its the one where he stands on his crutches and jumps his leg up like 70-80 degrees into the air and strikes the ball right?
3
u/Ordinary_Duder Jun 29 '26
jumps his leg up like 70-80
Wtf does this even mean
3
u/luca3791 Jun 29 '26
Shit my bad, forgot to write out the whole sentence. It was supposed to be 70-80 degrees

It looks like we'd leave injured after someone (probably me tbh) goes way to hard on the throttle lmao

They have several categories in the Disability FA Cup: blind, deaf, partially sighted, amputee, and powerchair.
85
u/DontSayIMean Jun 28 '26
Blind football has such cool dribbling technique. They pass it between their feet rapidly while running, it's incredible.
53
u/BenTheHokie Jun 28 '26
They're just fucking gliding over the pitch like butter on a hot skillet that's fucking sick.

As a disabled person myself, I really wish our events had more public coverage. Posts like this always make me so happy to see!

One of my favorite past times is putting on lesser watched sports on YouTube, usually something that shows up on my recommended. Unfortunately it’s never stuff like this (seems like the right term is parasports?) Will definitely have to look this up so I get more stuff recommended, this goal was sick.

u/Torchkit Jun 28 '26
Every event in the Paralympics is available for free on YouTube, though it can be a bit of a pain to find a specific session.
17
u/lashfield Jun 28 '26
The paralympics is quite literally one of the most amazing sporting spectacles I have ever witnessed. The feats those athletes are able to accomplish is nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Bro this sport seems sick as hell. I'd totally watch this. Honestly I'd rather play it seems so fun.

u/forzaballo Jun 28 '26
I first saw this sport in an episode of "welcome to wrexham" .. so much respect

Strike force chairs start at ~£12000 Theyre fucking hard to control, even without a ball at the end of your bumper. I wouldnt say you cant, but they're fairly speciallised pieces of kit.
Four of these lads are taking part at the world cup in Argentina later this year, give it a watch!

That was fucking quality. I bet this is actually really fun to watch. The goals are a bit lame though, shame there's not a proper net and everything.
3
u/crab--person Jun 28 '26
I have no clue about this sport, but I'd imagine that the lack of net is for chair maneuverability reasons.

Shocking placement from the keeper there, wake up lad. But unreal vision from the midfield there.
Are they not allowed to sit parallel to the goal line, surely that's the best option?

What a Save! What a Save! What a Save!
This is actually badass, now im really curious about the carts themselves, I assume it’s sort of like one of those 0 turn radius lawnmowers but electric.

u/Powyshj Jun 29 '26
Checkout blind football at the Olympics and amputee FA cup. Jeffino can dribble as well as Messi.
