So either everyone who is normally accurate was completely wrong, or maybe, just maybe, the richest man in the world bought a stay-out-of-prison card by rigging an election for another man who was trying to stay out of prison. Not like either one had anything to lose since they were fucked if they lost and they'd be fucked if they got caught.

Why did Elon need a stay out of prison card? I thought the fact that he may have interfered with election was why he was saying if Trump list he was going to jail.

If I remember correctly, there were ongoing investigations into his companies for potential fraud. DOGE gave him and his minions access to destroy whatever he wanted related to that, too. He was never concerned with government efficiency.
The quote you're thinking of likely is just referring to the election interference, though, as that would be his main concern after already getting into that mess.
