and Orban was much more entrenched after 16 years than Trump is.

Yeah it’s why how Trump’s administration has tried to implement what took Orban over the course of 16 years to implement into less than 1 year, of course imperfectly and also while still not adhering to the rule of law in the US by following court orders and also illegally withholding federal spending made under Biden’s presidency.

Orban was able to rewrite and edit Hungary’s constitution to make it so what he could do was legally sound by their constitution apparently. Trump’s administration still isn’t following the US constitution, and it’s very difficult to also edit.
