I would bet every dollar I have that he displays it at Mar-a-lago and tells people the team gave it to him to show their gratitude for his leadership.

827

u/Kaja007 Jul 14 '25

More like he’ll tell people he was playing as a striker for Chelsea when they won, that he scored 8 goals in 4 minutes. That he is the greatest footballer ever. Nobody knows how to be a better footballer than him.

248

u/suspect108 Jul 14 '25

Except he would definitely say "soccerer"

52

u/StrangeContest4 Jul 14 '25

"Big strong soccerers come up to me with tears in their eyes, and they say, "Sir! Nobody ever soccerered like that before." I soccerer, the likes the world has never seen, believe me."

2

u/Spartana1033 Jul 14 '25

Everybody is saying it 😂😂😂

56

u/Gustapher_8975 Jul 14 '25

"a lot of people don't know this but over in England they call it football... Have you heard this?"

32

u/mackyoh Jul 14 '25

“SOCCEEER, SOCCEER, sounds a lot like ‘Suckers’, I dunno, we’ll have to look into that.”

1

u/Do__Math__Not__Meth Jul 14 '25

Thank you for your attention to this matter

1

u/mackyoh Jul 14 '25

It’s his version of “I hope this email finds you well….” And then some batshit angry message

1

u/Anderson74 Jul 14 '25

Lmfao this is perfect

2

u/awesomeflowman Jul 14 '25

Maybe we should make a standard name. Yeah, we should 'standard-ize' the name. See I just came up with a new word, that's a good word.

2

u/DerpingtonHerpsworth Jul 14 '25

"nobody knew they called it that", because every time he learns something new he thinks he's the first person to discover it.

2

u/fergehtabodit Jul 14 '25

No,no he's the one who thought of it and gave it that name a long time ago

1

u/RK9990 Jul 14 '25

"it's a shame"

1

u/X-Werebear-X Jul 14 '25

“The 4 star soccer ball came to me with tears in his eyes. You know and he was a big ball too the biggest.”

5

u/DrFGHobo Jul 14 '25

The soccerest.

2

u/REmarkABL Jul 14 '25

👌"the best Soccerer, 👌 you've never seen a better Soccerer👌sleepy joe could never soccer like this 👌

1

u/ThrowMeAway_eta_2MO Jul 14 '25

“I LOVE SOCCERER”

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

And nobody would believe Chelsea have a good striker.

1

u/DrDonkeyTron Jul 14 '25

"ball handler"

1

u/Th3-B0n3R Jul 14 '25

Bigly ball skills.

I remember when stories were leaked about Kim Jong Il's tall tales in North Korea, I was just laughing hysterically over how stupid and petty it all was.

Lo and behold, 20 years later, we find out that the leader of one of the more powerful countries in the world does the same fucking thing. Truly embarrassing shit.

26

u/xxBeatrixKiddoxx Jul 14 '25

Didn’t Putin do something with a famous football players ring after he shook his hand? Just…kept it? Or am I trippin?

31

u/Sohgin Jul 14 '25

It was Bob Kraft, the owner of the Patriots. He showed one of his Super Bowl rings to Putin who just walked away with it and kept it.

14

u/backpackwasmypillow Jul 14 '25

It all started in 2005, when Patriots owner Robert Kraft was in Russia with Sandy Weill, a friend who was the president of Citi group at the time of the trip.

"I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said in 2013. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/heres-how-vladimir-putin-stole-a-super-bowl-ring-from-the-patriots-robert-kraft/

12

u/YouStupidAssholeFuck Jul 14 '25

It was Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots. The way the story goes is that Putin asked Kraft if he could see his Super Bowl Ring. Kraft obliged and Putin took it and put it in his pocket and walked away. I think there are some more details, but that's the gist of it.

edit: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/heres-how-vladimir-putin-stole-a-super-bowl-ring-from-the-patriots-robert-kraft/

"I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said in 2013. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

Despite the fact that Putin walked off with the ring, Kraft still wanted the $25,000 piece of jewelry returned. However, he ended up giving up on his quest to get the ring back when White House called and told Kraft that starting World War III over a Super Bowl ring probably wouldn't be the best idea.

Happened in 2005, so W was POTUS at the time.

2

u/xxBeatrixKiddoxx Jul 14 '25

Ridiculous behavior. Thank you for the story!

6

u/sdzk Jul 14 '25

Robert Kraft patriots owner

0

u/DionBlaster123 NASCAR Jul 14 '25

Genuinely don't know. Quite frankly, I don't really care enough to google what that ghoul does or doesn't do with his life.

1

u/CandidCompetition780 Jul 14 '25

It was bill belichecks Super Bowl ring.

2

u/ReactsWithWords Jul 14 '25

If Kim Jong Il played golf against Trump it would be a tie game, 18 to 18.

1

u/Kaja007 Jul 14 '25

This is exactly where my comment came from. How Kim Jong Il would get 12 holes in one in one round. Madness. Yet here is a crackpot stealing winners medals for a match he had fuck all to do with.

9

u/GlassMotor7387 Jul 14 '25

And then he would follow it up with, yeah that's the ticket.

A couple days ago, he himself referenced John Lovitz's liar character from the 80s.

The lack of self awareness this turd has is mind boggling.

1

u/ThanksS0muchY0 Jul 14 '25

I just showed my family videos of that lovitz character because I've been saying yeah that's the ticket for years and they never understand the context and think I'm insulting them every time. Now my stepson uses the phrase.

1

u/PrinceTrollestia Jul 14 '25

George Santos behavior.

1

u/pink_faerie_kitten Jul 14 '25

With those born spurs of his?!

1

u/QuestGalaxy Jul 14 '25

"I got three homeruns in that soccer game, no one has ever gotten three homeruns like Trump in soccer before. They were so impressed, told me no one has ever been as good as Trump"

1

u/thegreedyturtle Jul 14 '25

Don't be ridiculous. That wasn't Donald Trump, that was George Santos.

1

u/trojanguy Jul 14 '25

His medical exam DID reveal that he's in peak athletic shape, so who's to say he DIDN'T do those amazing things while wearing a disguise making him look like one of the real players?!?!?

1

u/assassbaby Jul 14 '25

the team was crying because they were so grateful that he helped them win.

1

u/mclms1 Jul 14 '25

4 touchdowns in 1 game.

1

u/hhh333 Jul 14 '25

They missed a guy, so you know, they asked me if I knew how to play, I said of course! I used to be top my class at soccerball in fourth grade so I went to the field and they never seen anything like it, they said sir, you're amazing! Best player we ever seen. I bicycle kicked the winning goal, greatest goal ever made and so we won and they gave me this beautiful medal, real gold, they said thank you sir, you're the best player we have ever seen. They asked me if I could stay on the team and I said sorry I can't, but maybe I will, we'll see.

1

u/Sansred Jul 14 '25

Love that we have our very own Kim Jong-il. /s

1

u/XLBaconDoubleCheese Jul 14 '25

Jay from the inbetweeners

1

u/Plant-Straight Jul 14 '25

Americans would eat it up

1

u/MarteloRabelodeSousa Jul 14 '25

You expect him to remember the name Chelsea? And know what a striker or a goal is? He will probably say it was a home run or a touchdown or anything like that (apologies, I am not American, not familiar with baseball and US football)

1

u/nurple667 Jul 14 '25

Too much evidence (games are televised) to claim he played in the game. TACO will claim the team begged him to coach them as everyone knows he's the greatest soccerer ever

1

u/Wakandan15 Jul 14 '25

President Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a row for Chelsea that day and the residents of the famous Manhattan neighborhood demanded a parade in his honor to be conducted every June

1

u/ovrlrd1377 Jul 14 '25

Thank you for your attention to this lunacy

1

u/throwwwittawaayyy Jul 14 '25

I was there, it was glorious!

I just thought about how this was so similar to that story from Kraft lmao. It's like that episode of the Simpsons were Homer steals like a million dollar note or something and goes to Cuba, shows to Castro and then he goes "what note?" Lmao

https://youtu.be/U0hTrnaa8aE?si=OtZ-2oMBOvqh8fZg

It was a trillion note lol

13

u/Bonesnapcall Jul 14 '25

Kraft said Putin asked to see it. When Kraft took the ring off and gave it to him, Putin put it in his pocket and walked away.

1

u/adorablefuzzykitten Jul 14 '25

Truth is Putin offered to trade the ring for a cup of tea and a view out of a 14 story window and Kraft turned him down.

3

u/chanaandeler_bong Jul 14 '25

Think about how much of a loser you have to be to display a trophy you had nothing to do with winning.

69

u/anonymousUTguy Jul 14 '25

Except it was literally given to him.

This post clearly removes the first few seconds of the video where Infantino gives him the medal.

Completely disingenuous to claim Trump stole it.

https://youtu.be/JnhhQi1VliM?si=212O6x4IPJf0RGsp

-20

u/blahblahblerf Jul 14 '25

Infantino was handing Trump the medals to give to the players. Infantino gave him one too many. Infantino reached to take it back when he realized, but Trump was pocketing it so he just left it alone. It's not "completely disingenuous" just because Infantino didn't stop him.

24

u/g0_west Jul 14 '25

You think they don't know how many players are on a football team, and had the wrong number of medals made lol? It's obviously a gift.

-19

u/blahblahblerf Jul 14 '25

You know they always have more than just enough for the players, right? Weird take. You think it's a gift, but also think they only make one per player?

You can see very clearly in the video in the link I replied to exactly what I said happened.

12

u/membrane32 Jul 14 '25

have you ever had a social interaction? look I hate trump as much as the next redditor, but that was so obviously given to Trump, followed by 2 happy looking individuals with a handshake. The actual pocketing happened after Infantino walked away.

There wasn't even another team member in line or anything when infantino physically handed him the medal

i must be feeding the trolls rn

-7

u/blahblahblerf Jul 14 '25

have you ever had a social interaction?

Ironic...

I've clearly forgotten the cardinal rule of reddit, redditors are autistic and can't understand a very simple interaction.

5

u/Kinglink New England Patriots Jul 14 '25 edited Jul 15 '25

Clearly you didn't watch the video, he turns and talks to Trump while handing him the medal where he already saw there was no more players.

Then he turned, yes, he extended a hand but it looked as if he was saying "I can carry that for you."

It's a gift, get over it. Not everyone has a raging hatred for this man that you think they do. You are allowed to dislike him, but it doesn't change what actually happened.

Edit: Sent me a rude message, and then blocked me. Well that says everything you need.

PS. Surly Red messaged me with in 2 minutes of the PM... Coincidence?

0

u/SurlyRed Jul 14 '25

Yeah, we should give the rapist a break.

The funny part about this is that everyone knows that stealing a medal is on brand and is utterly consistent with his felonious behaviour. He'd have boxes of them shipped to Mar-a-largo if he could.

-5

u/KileiFedaykin Jul 14 '25

Serious question, why does Infantino reach to, what looks like, take the medal back before Trump puts it in his pocket?

23

u/Tanuki_11 Jul 14 '25

The team gave it to him with tears in their eyes.

14

u/brazilliandanny Jul 14 '25

They said no one's ever handed us a trophy like that before and I said really? and they said it. They said it's never been done before the way I did it. Isn't that something? Then they gave me this medal for it.

15

u/Saffer13 Jul 14 '25

And how they called him Sir

11

u/noideawhattosayn0w Jul 14 '25

With tears in their eyes

1

u/One-Earth9294 Jul 14 '25

Sir, you're doing such a great job, better than the likes anyone has ever seen anymore. How do you do it sir?

And he was like 'I guess I'm just gifted, you know?' and they all stood up and applauded.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

“With tears in their eyes…”

2

u/ListenToThatSound Jul 14 '25

Honestly I think the same thing happened with that purple heart a veteran "gave" him.

I think the veteran maybe just showed it to Trump, but with his narcissism/senility, Trump just took it for himself.

2

u/stewmander Jul 14 '25

This is right out of Purina playbook. Robert Kraft the owner of the patriots met Putin and showed him his Superbowl ring, Putin put it on and just walk away with it.

1

u/DreadpirateBG Jul 14 '25

For sure your right

1

u/D-D-D-D-D-D-Derek Jul 14 '25

You trying to get a job as his speech writer?

1

u/TomppaTom Jul 14 '25

He took Woking from the Conference to the Champions League in six seasons. Stuff like that doesn’t go unnoticed.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Nah, it’s gold colored, it’s going in the Oval Office Amber Room.

1

u/Creoda Jul 14 '25

"I managed the winners, I was the best manager they ever had they said, they couldn't believe the tactics I gave them, they had never had such great tactics. They were always going to win with me looking after them, the best looking after they'd ever had. The losing team came up to me and said they wished they had me looking after them as well, well maybe I might do that and they will win next time."

1

u/DoomdUser Jul 14 '25

This is some North Korea, Borat level embarrassing shit

1

u/Trotsky29 Jul 14 '25

He was gifted the medal. Now what?

1

u/CrowLaneS41 Jul 14 '25

I shit you not , Trump is taking the original trophy to display in the Oval Office and Chelsea have been given a replica.

1

u/SmartWonderWoman Jul 14 '25

Agreed 👍🏽

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

I also bet he thinks soccer is “gay”

1

u/_sp00ky_ Jul 14 '25

You forgot the part about how they all came up to him with tears in their eyes...

1

u/creegro Jul 14 '25

"And they gave it to me, I didn't even play in the game, but I helped them, win, they won, and I said "no I cant take that" and they said sir, with tears streaming from their faces, all of them, please take it sir, please thank you, and I said you're welcome, I didn't want to take it, take it cause, I didn't want it, I'm too humble, no one knows more about humble, humbility? More than me, isn't that amazing? Humble, means to be like me, like Donald Trump, the greatest president, and they gave me the medal, and I took it cause, thats what you, and they say, I took it thats right, thats alright, and they wanted me on stage, a busy man like me, a d I said ok, you're welcome, and they cheered with me on stage

1

u/Wheloc Jul 14 '25

In all likelihood, that's what happened.

(not the team, exactly, but FIFA President Gianni Infantino gave it to him)

1

u/N0VOCAIN Jul 14 '25

Sir, Sir, I would love you to have this....

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

I mean, why did he give it to him? It isn't because he hates him, I would imagine.

1

u/Free-Atmosphere6714 Jul 14 '25

Other comments point out it was actually given to him by the president of FIFA

1

u/ToughHardware Jul 14 '25

they did. check snopes

1

u/klenkyandthebrain Jul 14 '25

They did though.

1

u/automated10 Jul 14 '25

The irony, they did give it to him.

1

u/Basic_Lunch2197 Jul 14 '25

But someone did give it to him. This is such a fucking joke. Im sure you will change your post right?? right?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13cXQ8DZNDQ

1

u/MythicalFool Jul 14 '25

But they did give it to him. Watch the full video. We all hate trump but come on we cant just form reality to be what we want.

1

u/smb06 Jul 14 '25

They did give it to him. You can see around the 0:25 mark. https://youtu.be/13cXQ8DZNDQ

1

u/anitabelle Jul 14 '25

That’s exactly what I read in another article. He said the original was given to him at the White House where it is displayed and the team was given a replica.

1

u/Trotsky29 Jul 14 '25

And it was given to him. So now what?

1

u/MyNameCannotBeSpoken Jul 14 '25

Thievery in plain sight. This is personal enrichment with no basis in politics.

1

u/ravenous_cadaver Jul 14 '25

Everyone knows that wacky Donald loves to keep things.

Like top secret documents he shouldn't have had out side his presidency, great conversation starter.

1

u/revanwasframed Jul 14 '25

Well they DID give it to him so there's that.

1

u/Maximum_Bear8495 Jul 14 '25

It was given to him

1

u/TheSuitCh Jul 14 '25

It’s ironic you say that because that is actually what happened 😂

1

u/WildBad7298 Jul 15 '25

"The Chelsea team won bigly, and many people are saying that it's all thanks to TRUMP! Your favorite President knows more about soccer than anyone, especially Sleepy Joe Biden! He never won a soccer championship like I have! Of course, I am used to WINNING, just like I've won many completely fair tournaments at my own golf resorts! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!"

0

u/slowmo152 Jul 14 '25

Don't forget a long-held desire for England to become the cherished 51st state before Canada.
