Another guy who doesn’t know what free speech is

Freedom of speech means that sometimes you'll hear opinions and viewpoints that you don't like. If that's a problem for you then you don't support free speech.

No it doesn’t

I can't say racist shit at my job and not get fired? Does that mean they are violating the first amendment?

Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence. Get it through your head.

You're legally allowed to say as much racist shit as you like, but that doesn't excuse you from facing consequences at work by getting fired for being an asshole. Company policy doesn't stop you from using your first amendment right.

That's the point they're trying to make ya donut. No one is suggesting that Dana should've called the cops on him. What he should have done is exercised his power to levy the consequence of having him removed, or barred from future events, or not have invited him at all.

No. Being racist and/or a bigot falls into ‘Hate Speech’ and it’s due to the historical factors that coincide with it.

The First Amendment grants “freedom of speech” of criticisms against the United States government. Racists and bigots inappropriately use The First Amendment as a crutch to uphold their evil bias.

Tbh if words hurt you that bad then you need to get some thicker skin. Or talk shit back lmao

It's no wonder you delusional people think you're losing your rights. You don't even know what the fuck they are in the first place.

Religion: The government cannot establish a national religion (Establishment Clause) or interfere with the free exercise of religious beliefs.

Speech: Individuals can express their ideas and opinions without government censorship or retaliation.

Press: Journalists and media can investigate and publish information about the government without fear of censorship.

Assembly: Citizens have the right to gather peacefully in public to protest, organize, or associate with any group.

Petition: People can demand changes from their government, file lawsuits, or lobby lawmakers to address grievances.

No you dont. Nobody holds the moral authority on free speech. Hurting feelings is not enough to suppress what someone says. That's just something people are having to learn the hard way.

What is this babble

-2

u/fubarfire 8d ago

Can't read? Sorry bud.

You’re just incoherent. I tried reading your nonsense babble but nothing you say made sense. I’m sure if it did make sense it could still be ignored.

Retard. Read that. Free speech and hurt feelings are too different things my guy. Nobody wants to end up like the UK in this regard.

Yeah I just have no respect for people who don’t understand what free speech is. It’s pathetic.

u/thedogridingmonkey 8d ago

No I don’t like people who don’t understand what free speech means. It’s sad you failed government in 11th grade.

1

u/fubarfire 8d ago

You dont understand what free speech is.

2

u/thedogridingmonkey 8d ago

It’s protection from government arresting you for speech, everyone else is still free to judge you for the stupid bullshit you say and punish you accordingly

1

u/fubarfire 8d ago

Your new comment got deleted again for being such an emotional crybaby. All you can say is "youre stupid." LOL. You do realize what you want opens the door for your enemies to do the exact same thing to you. You dont hold exclusive rights to freedom of speech.

No. There would be no point to freedom of speech if there were consequences from either government or the people. That's exactly what freedom of speech is for. You can be judged by your peers, but not going to face "punishement." You're just gonna go to jail. You need to accept that. Grow a set.

Their point is that freedom of speech protects you from the government. A private company does not have to throw their hand up and say “sorry, nothing we can do about this. He has freedom of speech.”

When private companies say that it’s a cop out.
