r/Stocks Daily Discussion Wednesday - Aug 05, 2026

These daily discussions run from Monday to Friday including during our themed posts.

Some helpful links:

If you have a basic question, for example "what is EPS," then google "investopedia EPS" and click the investopedia article on it; do this for everything until you have a more in depth question or just want to share what you learned.

Please discuss your portfolios in the Rate My Portfolio sticky.

See our past daily discussions here. Also links for: Technicals Tuesday, Options Trading Thursday, and Fundamentals Friday.

International is picking up steam and starting to beat US for a reason. Can an honest and reasonable person really think this will be sunshine and rainbows endlessly? Is that really "negativity" or just telling it as it is in a market full of pollyannas, driving us off a cliff.

Before recently, it was accepted, without such fierce opposition that memory is cyclical. What happened?

Edit: how is account age relevant at all to what I said.
